NEED FOR THE STUDY


The general need to the study was to enquire on the effect of compensation on employee
motivation. It is tried to know the level of motivation of the customers. To know the benefit
package of an employee.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


The compensations are paid in different forms due to which the problem arises in
understanding the concept itself, the study become relevant to identify the employee needs and
the gap which arises due to lack of incentives and compensation know how hence the study
will be conducted to gain necessary inputs about compensations and offerings towards
employees.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY


 To identify the employee compensation methods across various companies
 To know the employee satisfaction level across companies
 To identify the problems faced by the employees regarding compensation
 To provide necessary recommendation about the compensation

LIMITATION OF THE STUDY


 Employees may not be provided proper information about compensation
 The term compensation is actually confidential in some companies

SAMPLING DESIGN
A sampling is the definite plan for obtaining a sample from the given population. It refers to
the technique or the procedure that researcher would adopt in selecting item for the sample.

SAMPLING TECHNIQUE:
 Probability sampling

In this study probability sampling is used for collecting data. In probability sampling the
technique called simple random sampling is used to collect the data.
Probability sampling:
Probability sampling is also known as random sampling or chance sampling. Under this
sampling design, every item of the universe has an equal chance of inclusion in the sample.
It is the lottery method in which individual units are picked from whole group not
deliberately but by some mechanical process.
 SIMPLE RANDOM SAMPLING:
Simple random sampling from a finite population refers to that method of sample
selection which gives each possible sample combination an equal chance of being
included in the sample.

SAMPLING UNIT:
The sampling unit is to study in the employee’s compensation methods in Bangalore city .
SAMPLING SIZE:
The sample size consists of 100 employees across companies.

SOURCES OF DATA
Data collection is the method used in collecting data for a particular use or study,
The collected data gives the researcher a clear picture about the research problem chosen by
them and to analyse it.

PRIMARY DATA

Primary Data is also known as raw data., which will be freshly collected for the purpose of
study.

Here, for the research primary data was collected from company records and survey conducted
through questionnaire.

QUESTIONNAIRE
Questionnaire is a tool used by the researcher in order to acquire and collect the required data
for the study of the research problem
STRUCTURED QUESTIONNAIRE
It is one among the two types of questionnaire, it is also known as close ended questionnaire,
in this the questions will be pre-determined by the researcher in order to collect the required
primary data.

SECONDARY DATA
Secondary Data is the data which has been already collected or prepared by another person
which will be used by a second person in order to meet the project requirement.
Here for this research, secondary data used was, Books and records maintained in the company.

TOOLS FOR DATA COLLECTION


Statistical tools used for the research helps in analysing and interpreting the data collected.
Percentage Analysis:
Used to understand the percentage of certain number of respondents respected to different
questions.
Bar graph & Pie Chart:
Bar graph and pie chart have been used to showcase the graphical representation of the
analysed data.

PLAN OF ANALYSIS
The importance of the study of employee compensation in various companies. Where the
survey of 100 members will be conducted. By this study they can improve the compensation
process in the companies and can select the potential candidates for the right job and
designation of the company
