CONTEXT:

• The Vakko Fashion House is situated in Kusbakisi Caddesi in the city of Istanbul.

• The Vakko Design Center and Power Media Center changed the relinquished skeleton of an
incomplete inn venture in Istanbul to make a standout amongst the hugest new increments to Turkey's
contemporary engineering scene.

SITE:

Fortunately, the incomplete lodging had a similar plan measurements, floor height and similar ideology
as REX's plan for the California Establishment of Innovation's Annenberg Center, which had as of late
been scratched off. The awkward structure of the relinquished hotel was difficult to conceal given the
ventures compacted schedule.

CONCEPT:

• REX isolated the task into two basically free segments.

• The "U-molded" solid skeleton that was finished by a fourth side called 'RING’.

• An idea for the SHOWCASE was produced that set up a six-storey steel tower and amounts while as yet
enabling the outline to develop essentially.

• By keeping both units separate, a tedious scientific investigation of the current solid skeleton was
rendered superfluous while the basic plan of the Feature was improved.

• An idea for SHOWCASE was created, that set up the general steel shapes and amounts while as yet
enabling the plan to advance altogether.
• To this end, REX and its designers formulated steel encloses that could be gathered as bunch setups
while holding the SHOWCASE'S basic independence. The external unit is adjusted from the concrete
structure of a leftover hotel on the site which encloses the second structure from all sides.

• By creatively reusing a current structure. REX accommodated the ordinarily contending necessities for
speed and plan magnificence in the Vakko Form Center and Power Media Center.

• The outcome is a novel case of versatile reuse, and another engineering historic point for Turkey.
