WHERE THE JOURNEY BEGINS...
A note from the Founder of Solo Female Travel Day

Dear Lovers Of Exploration,

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to take part in the

inaugural Solo Female Travel Day on January 26th 2020.

I began my solo travel adventure a little over two years ago and
during that time, I’ve had the privilege of visiting Rome, Berlin,
Barcelona, Bali and Budapest. It was joining the solo travel
community that first gave me the confidence to take my first step.

Upon returning from my trips, I often found myself having

conversations with many women who said that they would never
travel alone. Common reason included that they were too scared,
not confident enough, could never organise trips with friends, or
would travel when they ‘met the right person’.

Having finally caught wanderlust, I wanted to find a way to

encourage other women to discover the transformative power of
solo travel and break apart all of the common myths associated
with it. That is when the idea for Solo Female Travel Day was born.
An awareness day that encourages women to take their firsts
steps to solo travel, whilst supporting those already on their
journey and creating a bridge between companies and
consumers.

January 26th was chosen in honour of the late aviator Bessie

Coleman, who was born on this day in 1892. Coleman was the first
African American woman to receive a pilots license. We honour
her and all female explorers who helped pave the way forward.
The message we are leading with for Solo Female Travel Day 2020
is Dare To Be Wilder. As Paul Coelho famously said; "if you think
adventures are dangerous, try routine: it's lethal".

Listed within this information pack are numerous ways you can
take part. How you choose to weave the event into your marketing
schedule is really up to you - like our passion for travel, there are
no set rules.

Where will I be on solo female travel day? Travelling of course,

backpacking through Thailand and Cambodia. I look forward to
getting to know you and working together to ensure you get the
most out of Solo Female Travel Day.

Kindest regards,

A.C

THE INFLUENCER

@thecuriousdesi

"I travel often with friends and

family, but still, choose to travel solo
on some trips. Solo travel gives me
the freedom to plan a trip that's
catered specifically to my interests. I
don't think travelling solo is any
better or worse than travelling with
someone, it's just a different
experience that has its own
advantages. I value the time I get to
reconnect with myself."
“I am not the same,
having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world.” –
