A NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE PARTICIPATION OF THE WRITESHOP ON


FINALIZATION CONTEXUALIZATION OF MATERIALS AND INVENTORY OF CRITICAL CONTENT
IN FILIPINO, SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS
April 9 – 11, 2018

On the first day at around 8:00 a.m. I arrived at the training venue at Milka Hotel, Abucay,
Tacloban, City. I immediately registered and participated the plenary sessions with different SDS took turn in
explaining the rationale of the writeshop. Immediately after the plenary session, a break up of the three academic
learning areas was done. In the afternoon of the same day, a lecture on the review of how to contextualize the
competencies in the curriculum guide was delivered.

On the second day, I attended the opening program that was conducted recapping on what
transpired on the previous day. This was followed by the writeshop on the finalization on the contextualization of the
learning competencies in mathematics. On that activity we were told to make DCLM and DCLP,s. We devoted the
whole day for making and finalizing the mathematics contextualized materials for submission, critiquing and
evaluation.

On the third day, we continued the finalization activity in the morning. A critiquing of chosen
outputs was done. Our own outputs were submitted to the facilitators. In the afternoon of that day, critiquing
continued for the other outputs, then after followed the closing program at around 3:00 p.m.

The training ended at around 4:00 pm on April 11, 2018. Indeed, it was a fruitful one.

I traveled back home at around 5:00 p.m. and reached Hindang at almost 8:00 p.m.
