Most respectful and equally dignified personalities at the presidential table (not forgetting those

who are not also with us this moment) starting with our exemplary Schools Division Superintendent, Dr.
Danilo C. Sison, CESO V, our competitive OIC-Assistant SDS, Sir Aguedo C. Fernandez, our dynamic CID-
Chief, Dr. Wilfredo E. Sindayen, our approachable SGOD-Chief, Dr. Arturo R. Viray, EPSs and other
personnel of the division office who are present, the mind behind this successful training, Madam Elisa R.
Ranoy, EPS-Filipino and SPED, our expert facilitators/speakers from our own division and other divisions,
co-participants, the most patient persons in the school, the grades 1, 2 and 7 teachers, a blessed
afternoon!

“No body’s perfect”, a cliché I would like to emphasize today as we end our training here in this
comfortable and spacious room. Though we are teachers, we still have difficulties in some aspects. We
may not know how to print documents, prepare slides deck, draw perfect square, circle, even
understanding some of our lessons. Yes, we may have complete senses, yet still we can’t do everything.

Sooner or later, we will encounter learners with difficulties in seeing, hearing, speaking, and the
like. It is true that this would make our job more arduous, yet Inclusive Education is a thrust of our
department mandating everyone of us to accept all types, forms and status in life of learners who will
enter our school happily, with open-arms and free from bias and discrimination. Thanks to this seminar
because we learned a lot which could help us soon reach-out our learners with special needs. My salute
to those who made effort and shared their expertise with us, Madam Elisa Ranoy, Madam Genalyn Tobias,
Madam Gerly Mamaril, Madam Glaysa Aspiras, Madam Marlina Advincula, Madam Marie Ruth Gubatan,
and Sir Ricardo Tambogon. Truly, this training is a success because of your cleverness and intelligence.
Despite the fact that speaking in front of highly intellectual persons is a tough job, you still managed to
transpire to us what we need. Now, I can say that my cup is not just full, but it’s overflowing so thank you.

Co-participants in this training, may we be inspired by the Parable of the Rainbow Colors that give
colorful view when they are all together and symbolize hope. May we be hopeful that no matter how
diverse our learners be, they make our life, our teaching job more colorful and challenging.

To support this endeavor of our department, we need this 10-letter word; ACCEPTANCE!

A means Allow. Let us allow our learners with difficulties in our school, in our classroom with joy
and love.

The 2 Cs mean Double Care. Everybody needs care. And our learners with difficulties need more
care, a double care.

E means Engage, despite their situation and status, we may be their bridge to see this beautiful
world, hear the singing birds and speak for what they want and feel.

P means Positive. Being optimistic is our weapon in this new battle we will lead. Of this program,
may we see the so called “silver lining”.

T means Total. May we not see these learners incomplete but a total package.

A means Appreciate. Instead of complaining to this endeavor, why don’t we just appreciate it
since helping is our utmost priority.

N means Never. “Never give up!” Visualizing this program, I can see it very difficult but we must
never give up.

C means Collaborate. We have Madam Ranoy, Madam Mamaril, we have each other in this
department so we can make everything for our clienteles.

E means Embrace. We are under this department, we can’t avoid nor reject this so let us just
embrace it. Let us just think that at least once in our life we let someone speak though he is mute, we let
someone see though he is blind and we let someone hear though he is deaf.

The same as what I uttered at the Regency Hotel last March when I gave my impression, I would
like to tell you once more that “if we have power, we can do impossible things”. Friends, we are now
empowered by our brilliant facilitators/speakers so we can now do the impossible things and stand for
what is possible! Congratulations everyone and may God lead us to our journey as we enter and join in
the world of silence. Thank you and once again good afternoon!
