IT IS UNDERSTOOD HERE THAT PROPHET (SAW) DO NOT JUST FACED PEOPLE AFTER COMPLETING THE

PRAYER BUT GIVES SUMMON OTHERWISE HE TURNED TO HIS RIGHT SIDE.

َ ،‫علِي بْن م ْس ِه ٍر‬َ ‫ َقا َل َح َّدثَنَا‬،‫علِي بْن حجْ ٍر‬ َ ‫أ َ ْخبَ َرنَا‬
ِ ‫علَ ْينَا ِب َوجْ ِه ِه فَقَا َل " ِإنِي ِإ َمامك ْم فَلَ ت َبادِرونِي ِبالركوعِ َولَ ِبالسجو ِد َولَ ِب ْال ِق َي ِام َولَ ِبا ِل ْن‬
‫ص َرافِ فَإِنِي أ َ َراك ْم مِ ْن أ َ َمامِ ي‬ َ ‫ذَاتَ َي ْو ٍم ث َّم أ َ ْقبَ َل‬

‫ّللاِ قَا َل " َرأيْت‬ َ ْ
َّ ‫ قلنَا َما َرأيْتَ يَا َرسو َل‬. " ‫ِيرا‬ َ ‫ا‬ ْ َ ‫ ث َّم قَا َل " َوالذِي نَفسِي بِيَ ِد ِه ل ْو َرأيْت ْم َما َرأيْت ل‬. " ‫َومِ ْن خ َْلفِي‬
‫ضحِ كت ْم قَلِيل َولبَ َكيْت ْم َكث ا‬ َ َ َ َ ْ َّ
. " ‫ار‬ َ َّ‫ْال َجنَّةَ َوالن‬
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: "The Messenger of Allah ( )‫ﷺ‬led us in prayer one day, then he
turned to face us and said: 'I am now your imam, so do not hasten to bow or prostrate or stand or
leave before I do. I can see you in front of me and behind me.' Then he said: 'By the One in Whose Hand
is my soul, if you had seen what I have seen, you would laugh little and weep much.' We said: 'What
have you seen, O Messenger of Allah ( '?)‫ﷺ‬He said: 'Paradise and Hell.'"

‫ فَأ َ َّما َم ْن قَا َل‬،‫صبَ َح مِ ْن ِعبَادِي مؤْ مِ ٌن بِي َوكَاف ٌِر‬ ْ َ ‫ قَا َل " أ‬.‫ّللا َو َرسوله أ َ ْعلَم‬ َّ ‫ قَالوا‬." ‫اس فَقَا َل " ه َْل تَدْرونَ َماذَا قَا َل َربك ْم‬ َ ‫وسلم أ َ ْقبَ َل‬

." ‫ب‬ ِ ‫ فَذَلِكَ كَاف ٌِر بِي مؤْ مِ ٌن بِ ْالك َْو َك‬.‫ َوأ َ َّما َم ْن قَا َل بِن َْوءِ َكذَا َو َكذَا‬،‫ب‬ ِ ‫ فَذَلِكَ مؤْ مِ ٌن بِي كَاف ٌِر بِ ْالك َْو َك‬.‫ّللاِ َو َرحْ َمتِ ِه‬ ْ َ‫مطِ ْرنَا بِف‬
َّ ‫ض ِل‬
Narrated Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani: Allah's Messenger ( )‫ﷺ‬led the morning prayer in Al-Hudaibiya and it
had rained the previous night. When the Prophet (p.b.u.h) had finished the prayer he faced the people
and said, "Do you know what your Lord has said?" They replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better."
(The Prophet ( )‫ﷺ‬said), "Allah says, 'In this morning some of My worshipers remained as true believers
and some became non-believers; he who said that it had rained with the blessing and mercy of Allah is
the one who believes in Me and does not believe in star, but he who said it had rained because of such
and such (star) is a disbeliever in Me and is a believer in star.' "

ِ ‫سمِ ْعته َيقول " َر‬ َ َ‫ ف‬- ‫ قَا َل‬- ‫علَ ْينَا ِب َوجْ ِه ِه‬ َ َ‫صلى هللا عليه وسلم أَحْ َب ْبنَا أ َ ْن نَكون‬
َ ‫ع ْن َيمِ ينِ ِه ي ْق ِبل‬
Bara' reported: When we prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ( )‫ﷺ‬we cherished to be on his right
side so that his face would turn towards us (at the end of the prayer), and he (the narrator) said: I
heard him say: O my Lord! save me from Thy torment on the Day when Thoil, wouldst raise or gather
Thy servants.

َ ‫ص ِرف‬
Anas reported: The Apostle of Allah ( )‫ﷺ‬used to turn to the right (at the end of the prayer).

So, facing the people is not the proper way unless there is need to give admonition
