What is Three Minute Thesis (3MT)?

• 3MT challenges doctoral candidates to present a

compelling spoken presentation on their research
topic and its significance in just three minutes
• 3MT started in 2008 and is now held in over 600
universities across more than 65 countries.
• A great 3MT should leave the audience with an
understanding of what you’re doing, why it is
important, and what you hope to achieve.
