INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background
3.1 Conclusion
As ‘the tree of ELT’ shows, what they have in common is that they are all primarily
concerned with communication and learning. ESP should properly be seen not as any
particular language product but as an approach to language teaching which is directed
by specific and apparent reasons for learning.

Question:
1. Alda Lovita
Is adopt and adapt can we use in the same time or not?
2. Nanda Nurul Imaniah
Why do course book does not meet the divers needs of the learners?
3. Tri Lestari
Is there any terms to assess weight and score?
4. Imam Dwi Perdana
What are the factor that induce teacher to not choose a particular
book?
Answer:
1. We can’t use adopt and adapt at the same time because adopt and
adapt is different. Adopt means we take a whole course book not just
a part of course book. Adapt means we take a course book and when
we find a material that not suitable or not necessary, we can remove,
add or change those material.
2. Because course book use standart needs of learners, if learners have
a different background in the class, we need a source book instead of
course book.
3. Table 11.3 is an example evaluation form for a beginners’ course
book. Weight in the table means how big our assessment in the
features evaluation form for a beginners’. Score in the table means a
score that we give to a course book based on the features. Features
with higher grade in weight and score means the features is more
important and must be prioritized.
4. If the book not match to the features in table 11.1, we don’t need to
take the book.
