Augustus Caeasar is born Gaius Octavius Thurinus, later known as

63 BCE Octavian and Augustus Caesar is born.
Augustus accompanies great uncle to Octavian accompanies Great Uncle,
Julius Caesar on a military expedition to
Spain Spain.
45 BCE
Completes training and discovers he was Octavian completes military and
academic studies. Whilst there discovers
adopted Julius Caesar was assassinated and he
44 BCE was adopted by him, making him heir to
the throne.
Augustus craetes the Second Triumvirate Octavian, Marc Antony and Marcus
43 BCE - 33 BCE Lepidus form a political alliance called the
Second Triumvirate that allows all of them
to rule the Roman Empire for 5 years,
and therefore this ends the Roman
Republic.
The Second Triumvirate is the name
historians have given to the official
political alliance of Augustus Caesar
(Octavian), Marcus Antonius (Mark
Antony), and Marcus Aemilius Lepidus,
formed on 27 November 43 BC with the
enactment of the Lex Titia, the adoption
of which some view as marking the end of
the Roman Republic, whilst others argue
the Battle of Actium or Octavian
becoming Caesar Augustus in 27 BC.
The Triumvirate existed for two five-year
terms, covering the period 43 BC to 33
BC. Unlike the earlier First
Triumvirate, the Second Triumvirate was
an official, legally established institution,
whose overwhelming power in the Roman
state was given full legal sanction and
whose imperium maius outranked that of
all other magistrates, including
the consuls.
Battles Marc Antony in the battle of Battles and defeats Marc Antony and
Cleopatra in the battle of Actium, due to
Actium Marc leaving his wife, Octavian’s sister,
30 BCE
 for Cleopatra. This therefore makes
Octavian the undisputed Roman
Emperor.
Augustus was awarded his name and Awarded by the senate, and from after
that time, Octavian was referred to as
became emperor Augustus Caesar. This was also the year
27 BCE when he became emperor
