The state enterprise "Posta Moldovei" was founded on April 1, 1993, as a result of the
division of the postal telecommunications sector from that of telecommunication. He is a
national operator providing postal services represented by the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications. Being the largest Moldovan operator, the company offers a wide range of postal and financial services throughout the country, with a territorial network of 1146 offices and post offices, 37 branches providing postal services to citizens in 1527 localities country. On 16 November 1992, the Republic of Moldova became a plenipotentiary member of the Universal Postal Union, thus forming a unique postal territory with the other Member States. Then, SE. "Poşta Moldovei" has joined a number of international bodies such as: Cooperativa EMS and Cooperativa Telematics of UPU, PostEurop (Association of European Public Postal Operators), Regional Community of Communications, actively participating in meetings and seminars organized by them, to improve the quality of postal service provision at national and international level. SE "Poşta Moldovei" is strategically oriented towards broadening the spectrum of services by implementing non-traditional services to the postal sector, ensuring the quality of their delivery, the forms and methods of servicing the clients based on the implementation of the advanced technologies, thus ensuring their profitability. For the future SE. "Poşta Moldovei" aims to remain the same secure company, dedicated to the public service, which being close to people looking uninterrupted corresponds to the high level of service provision.
