ORGANIZATION OF THE BARANGAY PEACEKEEPING ACTION TEAMS (BPATs)

WHEREAS, PNP Letter of Instruction 22/09 “Bayanihan” states the the PNP employs the
Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) as force multiplier.

WHEREAS DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2009-145 dated September 25, 2009
mandated the barangays to organize the barangay Peacekeeping Action Team.

NOW THEREFORE, I Hon. Paul Vincent D. Lusung Punong Barangay of Cangatba,

Porac, Pampanga, Hereby order the organization of the barangay Peace keeping Action
Team.

Section 1. Composition The BPAT shall be composed of the following.

Section 2. Function. The BPAT Shall Function for:

A. Law Enforcement – as forefront of criminal Justice System, BPAT shall take the following
steps;

B. Community Organization- Organization and accreditation of groups and allies within the
Various Sectors of the community that can be tapped to assist in the conduct of Law
enforcement and other public safety concerns;

C. Disaster Management – it seeks to improve measures relating to disaster prevention

mitigation, Preparedness, emergency responsive and recovery;

D. Environmental Protection – initiates and perform activities relating to environmental

concern such as community cleaning program, coastal cleaning reforestation, waste
management activity, and the like; and
E. Barangay Conflict Resolution- amicable settlement of issues/disputes wherein the
conflicting parties who are residents of the same adjoining barangay are encourage to make
mutual concession to obtain a peaceful resolution of the disputes without the formal
adjudication thereof;

Section 3. Effectiuve. This order shall take effect immediately.
