    MIKGI, Vol 11, No.1, April 2009 ISSN 0215-8674, TINDAKAN PENATALAKSANAAN IMPAKSI GIGI KANINUS ATAS DENGAN SURGICAL EXPOSURE DAN PERAWATAN ORTODONTIK (Laporan Kasus) Winny Yohana Bagian IKGA, Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi, Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung ABSTRAK Gigi impaksi adalah gigi yang tertahan, tidak dapat bererups! ke posis! yang tepat. Secara klnis gigi impaksi dapat dltemukan sebagai gigi yang terlambat erupsi,gigl yang tertutup oleh jaringan pengikat selama proses erupsi, atau proses erupsi yang berhent. Penyebab terjadinya impaksi dapat patologis maupun nonpatologis. Gangguan nonpatologis dapat berupa penebalan jaringan pengikat yang terjadi akibat pencabutan igi terialu din. Gangguan patologis dapat berupa ameloblastoma, atau Kista dentigerous. Impaksi gigi kaninus sering terjadi akibat Kekurangan tempat untuk erupsi. Tujuan rmakalah ini untuk melaporkan penatalaksanaan kasus impaksi gigi 23 dengan surgical exposure dan perawatan ortodontk. Subyek anak lakiaki uur 13 tahun dengan impaksi gigi 28 Tindakan bedah (surgical exposure) pada regio bukal dilakukan untuk membuka bagian labial gigi 23, kuti dengan pemasangan bracket. Setelah satu minggu gigi ditark dengan power chain kearah oklusal. Kontrol dilakukan setiap 3 minggu sampai 7 bulan, sehingga diperoleh susunan gigi yang baik. Hasil perawatan menunjukkan bahwa setelah 7 bulan gigi 23 sudah berada pada posisi yang seharusnya, dalam ssusunan lengkung gigi yang baik. Keberhasilan perawatan ini tergantung pada ketepatan penegakan diagnosis, ruangan yang tersedia, serta kerjasama pasien, Kata kunci: surgical exposure, impaksi, bracket ABSTRACT ‘An impacted tooth simply means that itis “stuck” and cannot erupt into proper postion. Clinically impacted tooth is delayed tooth eruption, covered by thick connective tissue, or the process eruption stops. The etiology of impacted tooth can bbe patologis or nonpatologis. The nonpathologic disturbance could be caused by the thickness of connective tissue as premature extraction, and the pathologic disturbances by ameloblastoma or dentigerous cyst. The impacted canine often ‘occurred as result of insufficient space to erupt. The aim of this paper was to report the management of the impacted 23 with surgical exposure and orthodontic treatment. The subject was a 13-year old boy with impacted 23. A surgical for expose the impacted 23 was done, followed by bonding the orthodontic bracket on the buccal surface. After one week the tooth was pulled down by power chain to occlusal, then arranged into good alignment. inthis case the surgical exposure from 23 tooth of the boy of 13-year-old is reported and followed by orthodontic treatment. Evaluation was done every 3 weeks. The result shows that after 7 months the tooth was aligned in proper position in the dental arch. The goal of the treatment was depends on the proper diagnosis, sufficient space for aligned the impacted tooth, and cooperation of the patient. Key words: surgical exposure, impacted, bracket PENDAHULUAN Gigi yang paling sering mengalami impaksi berturut-turut adalah gigi molar ketiga alas dan bawah, Gigi impaksi adalah gigi yang tertahan di dalam tulang rahang, sehingga tidak dapat erupsi secara normal sesual uruian erupsinya. Secara kinis gigi tersebut ditemukan sebagai gigi yang terlambat erupsi, yang tertutup oleh jaringan pengikat selama proses erupsi, atau proses erupsi yang bethentl, sehingga diperlukan waktu beberapa minggu sampai beberapa bulan.t Gigi kaninus atas, dan gigi premolar bawah.'
