6-7AM - Call time at Basic Ed Campus 1
- Orientation
o Introduction
o Area (SLMC PEDIA)
o Rules and regulation
 Ex: “If it’s not written, you do
not act upon it.”
- Requirements
o Inspection of uniforms
o Proper paraphernalia
o Courtesy call
7AM Arrival at SLMC Pedia
7:30-8:30AM - Area
o Set-up location (locker room)
o Introduce students to staff manager,
staff nurses, and buddy nurses
o Facilities (E-carts, nursing aide’s
facilities, biohazards, etc.)
o Documentation (charting)
8:30-9AM - Receive endorsements from staff nurses
- Endorse to clinical instructor
- Disseminate endorsement to student nurses
upon approval of the clinical instructor and
situate them accordingly to their buddy
nurses and patient
9-11AM - Duty proper
o Therapeutic communication
o Assess patients
o Vital signs
o Documentation
o Lesson plan: PDAR
11-12PM BREAKTIME
12-1PM - Duty proper
o Therapeutic communication
o Assess patients
o Vital signs

1:30-1:45PM Back to Basic Ed
1:45-2:30PM - Synchronize what happened during duty
