Course Title: Civic Welfare Training Service

Credit: 3 Units

Time Schedule:4 hours per week (1 semester)

Course Description
A program designed as a service component of the NSTP contributory to the general welfare and development of the community members particularly in terms
of health education, safety, livelihood, recreation, environmental protection and the moral of the citizenry. The teaching learning activities is focused in the
development of the students to become assets of the community, society and to the nation as a whole. Thus, making them aware of their responsibilities as
individuals and integrate values education, transformational leadership and sustainable social mobilization for youth and family development, community
building, national security, and global solidarity.

Student Outcomes (SO)


Upon completion of the course, students of the BSED program will be able to:
SO 1 Communicate effectively orally and in writing using both English and Filipino
SO 2 Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
SO 3 Resolve personal issues and problems, with a global perspective and particular emphasis on matters confronting emotional situation preparers and users,
using their knowledge and technical proficiency in the areas of situational issues and reporting.
SO 4 Apply knowledge and skills that will enable them to successfully respond to various types of assessments (including professional licensure and
certifications).
SO 5 Confidently maintain a professional commitment to good corporate citizenship, social responsibility and ethical practice when performing functions as a
good and efficient community .

Upon completion of the course, the BSED students are expected to:

a. Attendance is counted from the first regular class meeting.
b. A validated student identification card must always by worn be all students while attending classes.
c. Cheating is strictly prohibited. Any form of dishonesty shall be dealt with accordingly. Honesty is called for at all times.
d. Valid examination permits are necessary in taking the examinations as scheduled.
e. grading policy should be observed. Students who obtained failing scores in major exams are recommended to attend the tutorial class.

COURSE TITLE : Civic Welfare Training Service 2 (CWTS 2)


(Community Immersion)

CREDIT : 3 units

COURSE OBJECTIVES :
At the end of the semester, the student is expected to:
1. participate actively in teambuilding activities;
2. manifest effective leadership/fellowship skills;
3. organize community assemblies and linkages;
4. assist in the implementation of civic welfare projects;
5. determine the community problems and concerns and plan some viable intervention measures;
6. show a high level of interest in community-building tasks; and
7. develop a harmonious working relationship with the community.
8. appreciate the values of community immersion as a means of developing themselves as trainees and helping other people improve their way of life
through the different dimensions of development done in the locality.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The civic welfare training service 2 (CWTS 2) is a sequel to CWTS 1. It is designed to immerse students in activities that will arm them the capability to
contribute in the upliftment of the general welfare and the quality of life of the community and the enhancement of its facilities especially those that are devoted
to improving the health, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and morale of the citizen.

guides and evaluation instruments to ensure meaningful
program implementation of NSTP; and

monitoring and evaluation of the project for community
