A. Introduction
KIN Course is an English speaking course by Nurshakina. English is one of
international languages that is most used in the world. This course will teach students
to be able to speak English. This course is made for students who are in beginner level.
This aims to explore their interests to learn English.
The course focus is on speaking. The length of the course is for 10 hours. This
course will make it into 5 meetings. By each meeting, students will learn useful
materials to make them be confidence in speaking English. With this course, it is
expected that students who study here will be able to speak English fluently. KIN
Course will use fun teaching-learning way.
B. Need Analysis
Speaking skill is a skill that give us a ability to communication with other people.
Speaking skill is really important for student because that have many advantage. But,
speaking in other language especially English language is a challenge for student in
Indonesia. Like in school, speaking skill in college stage is important too. In college,
student be expected to be more active in talking. This is one of reason to do a analysis.
To find out the needs of students who will take this course, we have made observations
by giving questionnaires. After the student fills in the questionnaire, the results of the
survey will determine the students' needs that we will teach.

C. Tools of Analysis
The tool that use from this analysis is questionnaire. This questionnaire given to non
English student that have English course in their class.

Result of Questionnaire:
The conclusion that i got from the questionnaire are student think speaking in English
is important for them. Most of student are in elementary level because they just learn
English 2 hours for a week. They get difficulity when have presentation and storytelling
lesson. They storytelling and discussion method is effective for learn speaking English
because they will speak a lot and improve their knowledge with different topic in
discussion.

D. Description of the planned course.

This speaking skill course will teach student to be a good speaker. This course will
teach story telling method that the student will tell a story about their selves or another
stories that can improve their creativity when speak English. Another method that used
in this course is discussion. From discussion method, the student will given any topic
or do an assignment and then they will discussion with their friend and improve their
knowledge to speak English with different topic. Student in this course is college
student or non-English student. The reason for designing this course because the student
need to improve their ability in speaking.
E. Goal
- Students will be able to speak English fluently.
- Students will be able to communicate using English in appropriate expressions.
- Students will be able to speak English properly and correctly every time,
everywhere, and every day.

Type of Syllabus
This course uses Multi-syllabus Syllabus (Situational Syllabus and Functional
Syllabus). There are varieties of situations in communication (Situational Syllabus) and
there is a function in each of our words (Functional Syllabus). That is why KIN Course
uses Multi-syllabus Syllabus in order that the students can speak correctly and
effectively and can communicate well with one another.

H. Assessment Plan
Summative Assessment
In this course, i use summative assessment. I use summative assessment because in the
end of course will do a final test after learn in 5 meeting. In final test, student are
improve their ability in speaking after do some practicing. Student more active when
speak English because they are habitual to speak.

I. Course Rationale
This course is designed for non English student who want to improve their speaking
skill in English. It teaches many different topic that related to their college. The course
seeks to enable participant to make the student improve their speaking skill and to
achieve their own goal. It also make the student can improve their knowledge.
