University of Technology Sydney (UTS) use design-thinking framework in most of our studies. It
allows student regularly engaged in the purpose; the process and the result. Student will involve
in five (5) stages process which focusing onto empathizing, brainstorming, formulation of ideas,
prototyping and getting the outcome by testing.
Strengths come from out personality and natural talents. They can be developed through life
experiences into aspects of our character and capabilities. They can be expressed through our
positive thoughts, feelings and actions. The strengths-based approach to wellbeing and
performance focuses on building and developing strengths rather than emphasising
weaknesses. In this workshop students will work in groups to discover a strengths-based
approach to their wellbeing. Using different scenarios, students will be able to understand 24-
character strengths and how to apply them in their everyday life to overcome challenges.

motivation, boosts energy and improves academic performance. This workshop identifies
different personal strengths and encourages students to identify and use their own unique
strengths to not only enhance their wellbeing but also to improve their ability to become
