Eddie Thorton (called E.T. by his
friends) hadn’t paid his cell phone bill. If
he had paid it, he would have been able
to phone his mother Gertie. She was
waiting for him at home.

Her disguise was almost perfect. But an
allergy was fatal for her.

She was an investigator researching
about an alleged murderer. He lived with
three cats. Shortly before she caught
him, she sneezed – she was allergic to
cat hair – and was shot by the murderer.

The handsome man was a prince and he
fought a dragon that had held the
princess captive. His appropriate price:
he was going to be married to the
princess, but since the prince was gay,
he turned his price down.
Gerry had died but didn’t notice that he
was dead. After his death new people
moved into his house – he was a ghost
and they couldn’t see him.

The Story The Story

Hannah had secretly fallen in love with a Rudy was a murderer. The vengeful ghost

How to play: Student A picks up a card and reads the clue to the rest of the class. He then reads the story for
himself but doesn’t tell it to the class. The others try to find out what happened by asking “YES/NO” questions.
Student A may only answer YES or NO! If the others ask about information like “Is the man old or young?” student A
must insist on another question. Sometimes a question will be unnecessary e.g. “Was the man in church the day
before?” in this case student A may answer “this information isn’t essential to solve the story”. The students keep
going until they know the story. You may give points for good questions or for getting the story right. Then student B
picks up the next card and everybody starts over.
