At the beginning of this course, dynamics, I had very little knowledge prior to this
subject. The lecturer, Sir Ramlan Bin Kasiran provided a well-presented handout at beginning
of course make lectures easy to understand and make it possible to read ahead. Besides, I can
understand the lecture rather than frantically taking notes like in some other modules.
Dynamics covers interesting contents, a new and fresh subject to study that I have never
experience before. I like the content, although very difficult, I saw it challenging and mostly
interesting, since it covers the core of mechanical subject. The lecture material was well
complemented by in-depth yet not overly confusing support material in the handouts.
Lecturer is light hearted and tries to make material interesting, which when studied, is
actually very helpful on other areas of the course. Lecturer does explain things well and
listens to suggestions. Sir Ramlan was very clear in teaching, and up to date. It has broadened
my knowledge in mechanical engineering, in general. He never skipped classes, unlike other
subjects/lecturers. The exercise class also very good and helpful, I mostly like the fact that
the arguments are explained in detail so that people who are interested in the module can get
an important contribution to their knowledge. This subject, might be the one of the hardest
subjects I’ve ever experience, but the lectures make it bearable to go through, if I did failed in
the this subject, there’s no one to blame but myself since Sir Ramlan had gave everything and
the lectures are very clear.
