Usage of Micro-Teaching:

Micro-teaching has proved to be effective and


efficient and teacher training programme in the following way.

1. Micro-teaching helps the teacher training to gain more confidence in real


teaching.
2. Micro teaching creates awareness away to teacher trainees about the
various skills of teaching.
3. Micro teaching help in systematic and objective announces of the pattern of
classroom
4. Feedback enables the teacher trainee to consciously erase in irritating
habits or mannerism.
5. Micro teaching focuses on the behavior and this will enable the teacher
training to handle the classes more effectively in real teaching.
6. Micro teaching is a set of simples skills dealing with specific classroom
behavior.

Steps of Micro-Teaching:
1. Planning:-
This involves selection of the skill to be practiced along with
the component of the skill. It follows the real micro lesson
plan.
2. Teaching:-

For teaching following setting is followed.

Time: It is 5 to 6 minutes

No. of students: 5 to 10

Supervisor: lesson is observe by the teacher, supervisor and


peers

3. Feedback:-
The observers analyze the performance and discuss it with the
teacher trainee and the peers also give the feedback on the basis of
the ratings appraisal guide is prepared. They focus on the feedback
and try to modify this specific behavior. Feedback can be used
analysis or we just given to the pupil teacher with a written
comment.
4. Re-plan:
Keeping in mind feedback receive from the supervisor and
peers the pupil teacher replaces the micro lesson or another
lesson by writing or modifies the existing one.

5. Re-teach:

The pupil-teacher re-teaches the lesson after incorporating the


changes. The peers and the supervisors again observe the
lesson and mark the level of improvement.

6. Re-feedback:

The supervisor assesses the lesson again and again along with
the peer and the second feedback. The process repeat on till
the pupil-teacher acquires the required the level of
competency.
