NARRATIVE ESSAY: MATERIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

It was the seventh day of the week of which we Christians pertain to as the Sabbath Day—
the day the Lord took rest; wherein I received a call from a dear friend of mine to address her
concern for an assistance. The Lord’s goodness endures forever! That call was intended for me to
be notified about an imminent deadline of an output. I could say that without that call, I would
have been a dead meat! Because upon accessing our virtual academic workplace: Google
Classroom, our instructor highlighted her conditions concerning the outputs, which reads: “Late
submissions will not be graded. Outputs not submitted in the appropriate classwork will not be
graded. No output means no grade.” Pretty dreadful if otherwise.

Fortunately, I was able to catch-up with my tasks. However, time became my enemy in an
instant. As I worked on my academics, time went so fast. Not to mention the traffic our internet
speed is experiencing whilst the pressure on my necessities grows, it was a race against time. When
I started to take the hands-on simulation of the provided Materials Management System, as I’ve
aforementioned, our internet assumed a turtle-like speed. The video tutorial kept on buffering.
Notwithstanding the odds, I patiently waited for the video to load as the step-by-step instructions
on what to do and of what the activity’s objective requires of are in the video. My patience had me
forfeited a lot of valuable time as I anticipated a 5-minute video tutorial to finish. However, I did
finished the simulation and I had gained a quite an insight and experience on a Material
Management System.

First and foremost, overwhelming as it seems on the start, its features seems to be complex
but each of its elements is a gear to its optimal function in the healthcare sector particularly in the
regulation and monitoring of supplies of health institutions. Each of its buttons has a function of
course but an orientation will be a great help to a person in utilizing such management. Secondly,
this type of material management, just like any other advancements, provides unprecedented
convenience in maintaining control of the inventory aspect of a healthcare institution. Features
include inventory control, systemization of purchasing and receiving of supplies, monitoring of
supplies, financial aspects such as enquiries and quotations of items, issuance and tracking, and
pretty much everything about taking into account of the supplies. All of the aforementioned will
ultimately result to the improvement of performance and to an efficient management. Lastly, the
insight of the significance of a Management Material System plays in the modern setting of the
healthcare sector is at a premium degree. The convenience and efficiency it offers abolishes the
arduous method of material management which is manually done.

The advancements attained in the healthcare sector shall greatly contribute to the welfare
of general health of a society as to the performance and management were greatly improved. With
the same reason, the slumping of the performance and management of the healthcare units and
providers shall deteriorate the satisfaction of the populace with their health. Therefore, prioritizing
the enhancement of the operations means great improvement on health as to the providers are
efficient.
