The Show
Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association Spread across 3 halls in a gross area of 33,000
(IMTMA) flagship exhibition on metal forming square metres, IMTEX FORMING 2018 &
‘IMTEX FORMING 2018 & Tooltech 2018’ was Tooltech 2018 showcased advanced technologies
held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre such as Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things.
(BIEC) from 25th - 30th January 2018.
The exhibition witnessed participation from 504
The exhibition attracted 36,000 business visitors companies. The participation came from 23
over a span of six days. Orders worth Rs.539 Cr countries including India. Three countries China,
and enquiries worth Rs.4819 Cr were generated. Taiwan and Germany had group pavilions.

Compared to IMTEX FORMING 2016 the booked


orders increased by 18.2 per cent and enquiries
generated increased by 12 per cent.
Inauguration
The exhibition was inaugurated on 25th January 2018 by
Shri R.V. Deshpande, Hon'ble Minister for Large & Medium
Industries & Infrastructure Development, Govt. of Karnataka.

Other dignitaries included Mr. A. S. Kiran Kumar, Former


Chairman, ISRO and Mr. Nirmal K. Minda, President -
Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India
(ACMA). Mr. Jamshyd N. Godrej, Chairman - Exhibitions,
IMTMA, Mr. P. Ramadas, President, IMTMA, Mr. Indradev
Babu, Vice President, IMTMA and Mr. V. Anbu, Director
General & CEO, IMTMA also presided over the inauguration.
