A. Activity: The teacher will ask the following questions…


 When the sole of your shoes open, what do you use to put them back together?
 When you need to have a 1x1 picture on your index card, what do use to stick it?
 What do you use when you put pieces of paper together?
B. Analysis: The teacher will…
 Relate the activity with the grammar lesson : Coordinating Conjunctions
o In life , we use all sorts of things to join objects together- whether it be a
glue, rugby, tape, or sticky tac. Just like in English, there are words that
help things stick together…what do you think these words are?
 Discuss the different kinds of coordinating conjunctions. Give enough examples
for them to be able to understand what is a coordinating conjunction.
C. Abstraction: Ask the learners to do worksheet 1 for ten minutes. Afterwards check their
answers.
D. Application: Using the container with strips of coordinating conjunctions, ask each one
to draw one strip of coordinating conjunction and ask him/her to use it in grammatically
correct sentence. Let him/her write his/her answer on the board.
Assessment: Let them define coordinating conjunction and enumerate its kinds.

Assignment: Use for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so in grammatically correct sentences.
