Ron: Good evening ladies and gentlemen! We are very delighted of your presence tonight because for the
first time in the history of the Department of Education Region 02 thru the very able leadership of our
Regional Director, Dr. Estela L. Carino and Assistant Regional Director, Dr. Arnulfo M. Balane, we are
gathered together showing that we are one- one with the 5 Divisions and 4 City Divisions in fostering and
bringing out healthy relationships within and among the DepEd Dos community through programs like
this.

Ganz: This program is prepared not exclusively for the DepEd Regional Office 02 but it is as well offered
to the whole employees of Cagayan Valley Region. Ladies and gentlemen, tonight would be a breath-
taking night for all of us present here because for the very first time, stunning men and charming women
will captivate everybody’s eyes as we hold the first ever “2019 Search for Mr. and Ms. DepEd Region 02
PAGEANT”!

Ron: So just hang on ladies and gentlemen! To begin with, may we all rise as we give honor to mother
Philippines as we sing the Philippine National Anthem with Mr. Denis M. Agbayani, EPS-MAPEH,
conducting.

Ganz: After which, we remain standing as we invoke God’s blessings through a Prayer through a Video
Presentation.
(NATIONALISM AND PRAYER)

Ron: To formally open this evening’s affair, we give you the Chief Administrative Officer of DepEd Regional
Office 02, Atty. Jose Mario M. Macarilay with his words of welcome!

(WORDS OF WELCOME)

Ganz: Ladies and gentlemen, make way to the Cagayan SPA Dancers as an Opening Salvo to our tonight’s
Search! Let’s give them a round of applause!

(OPENING SALVO)
Ron: Tonight, is such a wonderful night, for we are united here once again to celebrate 44 years of
existence of our beloved Region 2. We’ve gone so far, but the memories and undying inspiration of our
forefathers, our leaders in the past remain burning and kindling within our hearts.

Gani: And as we celebrate this most remarkable journey, we also join our deep prayers to our beloved
brethren in Batanes who are endearing the aftermath of the recently devastated earthquake. May we be
in silence for 2 minutes for a personal prayer.

Amen…..along the midst of trials and adversities, we never failed to rise and stand anew. We remain
to be steadfast and pioneering. And so, we are reaping the rewards of our toils.

Ganz: Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the first ever 2019 Mr. and Ms. DepEd Region 02
Pageant! Hello Ron, why not join me here coz I really feel nervous this time with all this hustle and bustle
around. Do you feel the same?

Ron: Yes of course I do, but you know... I feel so excited coz in just few moments, we shall be witnessing
various dances to make our night memorable!

Ganz: And not only that! As mentioned earlier, we shall witness men and women who shall show the true
masculinity and beauty in them- the real thing in them!

Ron: So hold your breath guys! This night would be such a breath-taking night! Are you ready Friend?

Ganz: Very much ready na! So let’s get started!

Ron: Ladies and gentlemen, presenting to you the 10 debonnaire gentlemen and 10 lovely women for our
2019 Search for Mr. and Ms. DepEd Region 02 in their Uniform which defines their high sense
professionalism and integrity!

(Candidates enter and introduce themselves)

Ron: Ladies and gentlemen, once again, the candidates in their Office and School Uniform!

Ganz: Meanwhile, may we introduce the members of the Board of Judges. For the information of the
public, we have invited over for tonight’s night of the night, 6 experts, esteemed professionals with the
technical know-how of gauging beauties, so that they will judge how artistic and witty our candidates are
tonight. And they will also show us that beauty could be somehow measured objectively.

(Introduction of the Board of Judges)

Ron: And now, here are the minor awards at stake for the candidates... each winner shall receive a sash
and certificate...one of which is the Best in Uniform! Gan?

Ron: One for the Best in Native Attire!

Ganz: Another is for the Best in Formal Attire and Long Gown!
Ron: One for Mr. and Ms. Frienship!

Ganz: One for the Darling of the Crowd!

Ron: One for the Darling of the Stakeholders!

Ganz: One for Mr. & Ms. Close-up Smile!

Ron: and one for Mr. and Ms. Photogenic!

How about the major awards Sir Ganz?

Ganz: For the major awards, the 2019 Mr. and Ms. DepEd Region 02 4th Runners-up, 3rd Runners-up, 2nd
Runners-up, and 1st Runners-up will receive a sash, cash prize and certificate.

Ron: And the 2019 Mr. and Ms. DepEd Region 02 will also receive a sash, cash prize, certificate and a
trophy.

Ganz: Wonderful! I think the candidates are now ready for the next category...Ron?

Ron: Yes but before we move on, how are you now Sir Gan?

Ganz: Oh Sir Ron.. try to feel my heartbeat... look at me...ninenerbyos na rin ata ako...feeling ko am one
of the candidates!

Ron: We feel the same feeling! Ni-ne-nerve din ako! OMG! By the way, shall we call on the candidates
now?

Ganz: Sure! And so ladies and gentlemen, may we call on once again the candidates in their Native Attire!

Ganz: There you have it friends! The Formal Attire and Long Gown Competition! Just hang on coz in a
moment, we give the candidates showcasing their wit and confidence for the Q and A Round.

Ron: Meanwhile, may we welcome once again the SPA Dancers from the Cagayan National High School in
their cultural dance presentation! Let’s give them another warm round of applause!

Ron:That was a great performance! Let’s give them another round of applause! Ladies and gentlemen, we
are about to come to an end of our show...You know why? We only have one more category!

Ganz: Yes, we now come to the final category- the most awaited Question and Answer
Portion! Sir Ron, more words?

Ron: Yes, if there is beauty, it should always be accompanied by brains! In other words, Ma-beauty at
Map-pogi na, ma- brains pa! And that is exactly we are looking for tonight! The Mr. and Ms. DepEd Region
02 who are an epitome of masculinity and beauty with brains!

Ganz: For the mechanics, contestants are asked to draw questions through draw lots. Questions shall be
derived from # (hastags) relative to 44th Founding Anniversary or general information. Contestants shall
react on the hashtag for 1 minute only. The pageant host shall announce the termination of the Q&A
round allotted for the contestant and says “Time is up”.

Ron: May we start with the heartthrobs…Candidate # 1!....

Ganz: Ladies and Gentlemen, that ends the Q and A Round. That was a job well done candidates! You
really have the wit and the brains! Sir Ron more words!

Ron: Finally ladies and gentlemen, we are done with the Q & A Portion! In just few minutes, we shall know
who will be adjudged as title holders for this first ever Mr. and Ms. depEd Region 02!!
Ganz: For the information of the public, here is the breakdown of the percentage of points for the six
categories in choosing the five major awardees.
For the Uniform- 20%
Native Attire- 20%
Formal Attire and Long Gown- 20%
Question and Answer Portion- 40%
For a total of 100%

Ron: Here, whoever earn the highest points, I mean the five candidates garnering the highest points will
be adjudged as 2019 Mr. and Ms. DepEd Region 02 4th Runners-up, 3rd Runners-up, 2nd Runners-up, 1st
Runners-up and the first ever Mr. and Ms. DepEd Region 02! So dear candidates, in a moment, 10 of you
will be proclaimed WINNERS! Huh, am so excited!

Ron: And now, may we you once again call for the SPA Dancers of Lallo National High School with their
cultural presentation!

DepEd Ro2 is worth to cherish. Our reigning King and Queen have shared much joys and laughter. The
noble cause that they had shared to DepEd Region 2 is incomparable. And so tonight, we are to witness
them as they bid farewell. Ladies and gentlemen, our Reigning Mr and Miss DepED RO2, Madam Marivic
Rosales, EPS- FTAD and Mr. Alexander Geronimo, EPS, HRDD. A round of applause.

Ganz: There you have it Ladies and Gentlemen, the 2017 DepEd Region 02 King and Queen!
