Serve Receive Lines

1. Students are split into groups of 3
2. One student is a server, one is a passer and one is substitute
3. The server serves the ball to the
passer who attempts to use a dig or
serve to continue play
4. Substitutes collects the ball and
rotates in
5. Substitutes  Passer  Server 
Substitute

Run and Touch

1. Students are split into pairs
2. Players attempt to use dig, setting and
serves to create a rally with their
partner
3. Each time a partner touches the ball
they have to touch the inside line
before touching the ball again
4. Team with longest rally wins

Ball control
1. Teacher sets up students into teams of 4
2. A teacher throws the ball into the middle of
the court for students to begin a game with a
set or a dig and then play for the point
3. Students attempt to rally
3v3 Volleyball Drill
1. Split teams into groups of 3
2. One team has two blocking players and a passer
3. The other team has a passer, setter and
a hitter
4. The teacher throws the ball to passers
team to begin play
5. The teacher then calls out for the other
team to block or not and then they
return the ball
6. The passer teams’ swaps into defensive
play and visa versa for other team
7. Students play out game
