A TRIP TO ROMANIA

ICT-YES ERASMUS+

Lucía Martínez Serrano

Last Monday, 18th March we took 2 trains and 2 planes to go from Alicante
to Suceava, a city situated in the north of Romania.

MONDAY 18TH MARCH:

At 6:15 we caught an AVE to go to Madrid, where we took another train to
go from the train station to the airport, this journey Judith and I did alone, because
the doors of the train closed before being all inside. At the airport we took a plain
to Bucharest, where we waited 4 hours and a half before catching the plain that
would take us to Suceava, where were the families that would welcome us.

TUESDAY 19TH MARCH:

Today has been our first day in Suceava, the first that we have done has
been a speech about the project.
Later we went to a room to do a workshop, we have done flowers with
paper.
Later it was time to do the presentations about traditional handicraft in the
countries.
All the presentations were very good.
Then we went to eat with all the participants.
First we ate a typical Romanian soup, later chicken with potatoes and
finally donuts with cream and blueberries.

Later we went to visit the fortress of the city and a museum of an ancient
city. The fortress and the museum have seemed very interesting.

This day has been very interesting and I have learnt a lot of things with the
presentations and the visits.
WEDNESDAY 20TH MARCH:
Today we visited Iași, a city located 3 hours from Suceava.
First we visited the Ruginoasa Palace, where we could see all the rooms
of an old palace.
Later, we have visited the Ethnografic Museum, where a guide to
explained us the meaning of all the pieces of a regional costume.

Finally, we saw the Palace of Culture of the city.

After that, we had 3 free hours to do whatever we wanted before going
back home.

THURSDAY 21ST MARCH:

Today we have visited three monasteries, where what I liked most were
the paintings that the monasteriess have on all the walls, inside and outside.
On this trip we have been able to visit a Painted Eggs Museum, where we
could see how they paint them and also a lot of examples.

During this trip, we made a stop in a mountain to see the snow.

After all that, we went back to Suceava.

FRIDAY 22ND MARCH:

Today we have visited the Ethnografic Museum in Suceava, where we
have done two workshops, one to paint a plate and another to sew.
Later we have gone to the high school to do a questionnaire about the
project and also we have done a competition of logos, where all the countries had
one and we have voted the logo that we liked most. Finally the winner has been
Poland.
When we finished, we went back home to prepare for the farewell dinner.
We learnt a lot of regional dances and we enjoyed it a lot.

SATURDAY 23RD MARCH:

Today we woke up at 3:00 to go to the airport, where we took a plane to
fly to Bucharest, later we took another flight to Madrid. In Madrid we waited more
than 6 hours before taking a train to Alicante. Where we met our families.
CONCLUSION:
I think that this trip has served us to learn, to practise our English and also
to learn more about the cultures of the other countries.
For that reason, I think that this trip has been very useful and interesting
