 Office building is located on a 6.5acre site that has a bio lake on the eastern side of the site.
Orientation of the buildings longer façade is facing north south direction .
 In planning and form porosity gives a continuous movement of breeze within the structure .
 The common spaces within are opened and non-conditioned .
 The structure is of 3 story that has terrace gardens at every level they are connected through
external staircases at each floor to give a sense of elevated ground
 These terraces also act as an insulator for the office space below them reducing heat . these
spaces also act as spill out spaces or interactive space for the users , they improvise the micro
climate
 A green wall in infused in the western side of the structure and also provide a green buffer
zone between the green wall and the functional space that will shields the space from harsh
western sun and also cuts off the radiation .
 Space planning
 The structure comprises of various departments and each of them are well connect to each
other by voluminous atriums which also brings in natural light and allows hot air to escape
 The depth of each office spaces are designed in such a way that the entire space is lit
throughout the day which reduces the usage of artificial lights

 The ground floor of the structure is elevated by 2.7m , with a wide inviting staircase along the
water body leading the antral space of the structure
 The reflection of the water body with the movement is seen on the celling of the central
space of the structure during the daytime, c creating a wonderful experience
 The central spine of the structure which acts as an informal space are linear in shape with
double height spaces with a series of wide steps , courtyards , product displays , seatings and
informal meeting spaces .
 There are 5 atriums spread out over the campus giving a sense of connectivity as well as
barriers free huge spaces . it vertically connects all the floors from basement bringing in
natural light these atriums are the main interacting spaces for the users
 Solar panels are placed on the terrace gardens above the service yards on the ground floor
 The landscape designed act as vertical park as the terrace gardens of the two major portion
are facing each other

 The Parkside retirement homes have around 156 number of 1 to 2bhk units. These units are
designed handicap friendly with wheelchair accessible chairs
 The site has a view towards the Bangalore kempegowdam international airport and hence the
sothern side is designed to view the take-off and the landing of flights
 The design considering where to follow the guideline for senior living. Few examples are
such as wider corridors with grab bar everywhere , suitable doors for easy movements for
wheel chairs
 The activity areas are spread over the structure rather than housing it at a single portion of the
structure .
 the activities distributed across the floor makes the space more lively and also encourages
more intaction with in the users.
 Each floor has one activity area which has visual connectivity with the other floors through a
central vertically running atrium with proper skylight to get maximum natural light to the
space
 At the podium level the are the common activities such as dining areas , enquiry ,waiting
lounges etc along with landscape elements with in these spaces
 There is also an amphitheatre at the podium level opening out to the central atrium , this
space is mostly dedicated to enjoy the cultural events
 The atrium skylight is designed in a way to bring in maximum amount of daylight form the
eastern side and avoid glare
 The varying light and shadow play on the walls enlightens the space
