Current problem:

 VPN certificate will expire end of 2018

 If the certificate is not updated until the end of 2018, the router will stop
working beginning on Jan 01, 2019
 For more details see information from company Wachendorff

Risk:

 If this message is ignored and no update is performed until the end of

this year, the router needs to be newly set up and initialized by a
Schenck employee. In other words, a business trip or shipping of the
router to and from Schenck is needed to recover the working condition
(cost not covered by Schenck RoTec!).

Solution:

 Certificate will be updated automatically, in case the router has an

internet connection set up for a period of ~ 5 minutes.
 Schenck has supplied two different types of routers in the past. The
description for each router is found below.

1. Detailed description for EWON2005CD

1.1. Internet connection is already prepared

- Ensure the router is powered up (green PWR LED active)

- Wait 5 minutes and check if MODEM also turns green

- In case USER is blinking further steps are required - using the GUI (proceed 1.2)

1.2. Internet connection needs to be prepared

This router is available in 2 options. Therefore please choose your desired way to get the
router connected. The 3G router (eWON 2005CD/HSUPA) allows you to setup the
communication via WAN or 3G. The WAN router (eWON 2005CD) requires WAN
connection (company network with internet access (no proxy server supported).

1.2.1. WAN router (eWON 2005CD)

- Check if the WAN connector (see above in red) is connected to a network with
Internet access. If there is no cable connected to the WAN connector, please
supply a temporary Internet connection (check with your local IT for options).
- Open Internet Explorer and navigate to IP: 10.10.0.1
- Insert username "Schenck" and as password the commissioning number of the
machine, e.g. ftk1234

- Select "Configuration"

- Select "System Setup"

- Select "Communication"

- Select "Networking-Connection" and ensure that "Ethernet INTERNET

connection" is selected

- Select "ETH2-WAN", set your required parameter (DHCP or static IP address)

and press "Update"

- Please go ahead with point 1.2.3 (check internet connection)

1.2.2. 3G router (eWON 2005CD/HSUPA) setup 3G parameter

- Ensure that your client has the correct IP address (192.168.200.x except x=20)
- Ensure that no SIM Card is installed to avoid locking the SIM Card by using a
wrong PIN Number
- Open Internet Explorer and navigate to IP: 192.168.200.20
- Insert username "Schenck" and as password the commissioning number of the
machine e.g. RLHG0187

- Select "Configuration"

- Select "System Setup"

- Select "Communication"

- select "Networking-Connection" and ensure "Modem connection" is selected

- Select "COM Config-Interfaces-Modem"

- Change parameter "GSM Pin Code" according to your SIM card PIN

- Change Access Point Name according to your provider information or this

- After all required changes are done, press "Update". After getting the message
"The modem config has been correctly updated." Turn off router and install the
new SIM card

- Then open this page again and check if the network is shown correctly. The
"Signal level" indicates the quality of the GSM network. If the "Operator" and
"Network" are now shown correctly, the SIM cards PIN will be correct.

- Then go to Network connections - Modem - Outgoing - Server1 and change the

User name and Password according to the provider information (list below point
10)

- Please go ahead with point 1.2.3 (check internet connection)

- Then select "Test INTERNET Connection"

- Then select "Test online address"

- If you got the information "SUCCESS: Internet connection tested" everything is fine.

Maybe the last step requires several minutes to update the certificates

2. Detailed description for eWON Flexy 205

2.1. Variant 1 Internet connection is already prepared

- Ensure that the router is powered up (green PWR LED active)

- Wait 5 minutes and check if T2M turns green as well. .

- In this case no further steps are required!

2.2. Internet connection needs to be prepared

This router is available in 3 options. Therefore please choose your desired way to get the
router connected:
- WAN router
- WAN router with 3G interface
- WAN router with WiFi module (802.11b/g)

2.2.1. WAN connection

In this case a company gateway / router has to be connected to the WAN

connection. This can typically be realized just by using the company network with
internet access (no proxy server supported)
- Identify the 4 RJ45 network connectors. The WAN ethernet cable needs to be
connected to the port, which is indicated by a yellow LED (usually the one in the
upper right corner)
- The CAB PC should be connected to any of the remaining ports und should
already be configured for the router functionality (CAB IP address
e.g.10.10.0.128)
- Open your browser (like Internet explorer) and navigate to the router interface
with the IP 10.10.0.1. Start the wizard for Internet

-Choose Internet interface to " Ethernet INTERNET connection" and press "Next"

- Select DHCP or use setting for static IP address . Then press "Next"

- On the next page the connectivity will be checked

- If everything is fine you will get the following result

2.2.2.WAN router with WiFi module (802.11b/g)

- The CAB PC should be connected to any port und should already be

configured for the router functionality (CAB IP address
192.168.200.1)
- Open a browser (like Internet explorer) and navigate to the router
interface with 192.168.200.20. Start the wizard for Internet.

- Choose Internet interface to " WiFi INTERNET connection" and press

"Next"

- Setup WiFi setting

indicated by a green thumb

In case you have problems with getting the router online, you can send your router to the
