BIG ILLUSION SHOW PACKAGE

SHOW DESCRIPTION
George Diamond’s Big Illusion Show is a spectacular blend of breathtaking
amazing dramatic big illusions performed in a dynamic and highly energized manner.
This show will leave the audience breathless and will provide an ideal family
entertainment for all ages.

Yet, the show has been designed in such way that it can be presented in almost any
performance conditions and adapted to any venue. It will play equally good for very
large crowds as well as for smaller auditoriums.

SHOW DETAILS
The show is approximately 35 minutes long. It can be made slightly longer or shorter
as per Organizer’s requirements. This show can be performed up to 4-5 times a day.
As this show is easy to reset, it is possible to increase the number of performances on
the same day.

The show consists of the following illusionary sequences:

- Head Vanish Illusion - Amazing illusionette in which the girl’s head vanishes
without a trace, while the rest of her body seated on a chair moves in a rhythm
of the music.
- Cubes Illusion – The lovely assistant enters a cabinet and gets divided in 2
parts which are then pierced with large tubes in a most impossible manner. The
2 parts of the girl are finally divided apart. Her hand is protruding from one of
the parts and waving to the audience. Finally, she emerges unharmed and in a
different dress, to the amazement of the audience!
- Super Walking Knot Illusion – Mystifying illusionary routine that does not use
the big boxes, and is performed only with 5 meters of rope stretched across the
stage. This illusion involves audience interaction.
- Escape from 5 meters of rope – This illusion starts in a Houdini-like manner.
Assistant is tightly tied with 5 meters of rope with her hands tied behind her
back. Audience checks the ropes once she is tied up. A spectator is invited on
stage to witness the illusion close up. Instead of the escape the illusion ends
with a hilarious unexpected surprise. When the girl and the spectator are
covered by the curtain for a brief moment and uncovered, she is found wearing
the spectator’s jacket with the ropes still tightly tied over it. This is a comedy
illusion with audience participation.
- Floating Table Illusion – The little table suddenly comes to life and starts to float
over the stage. It dances with George, flies above the heads of the audience
and finally a dances in midair around a spectator. This illusion involves
audience participation.
 - Origami Illusion – George’s assistant enters a small box that she can barely fit
in. George starts folding the sides of the box in a manner of Japanese origami
art. The box becomes smaller and smaller until it becomes a cube of a size of a
shoebox that is way too small to hold a live person. Furthermore, George
pierces the small box with 3 sharp Samurai swords. The swords are then
removed, the small box is unfolded into a bigger one from which the girl jumps
out. This dramatic illusion is always a crowd pleaser!
- Metamorphosis Illusion – A spectacular Houdini’s substitution trunk illusion
performed in a very dynamic manner makes a spectaculat finale to the show.
The female assistant is handcuffed, placed in a canvas bag and locked in a
trunk. Everything is thoroughly checked by the audience. George climbs atop of
the trunk and holds a curtain on a hoop around it. Within a blink of an eye, the
girl is suddenly standing on top of the trunk instead of George. This change is
extremely visual and spectacular. She unlocks the trunk and takes out the
canvas bag from which George emerges securely handcuffed. This illusion
involves audience interaction.

 PERFORMANCE CONDITIONS
These are basic performance conditions. The detailed Technical Rider will be
provided once the show has been booked.

The show is versatile and adaptable to different venues.

- The raised stage is not mandatory. However, this kind of show looks best when
presented on a raised stage.
- The show can fully be performed even on small stages (we have managed to
perform it even on a 3m x 3m stage), but it looks best when performed on an
8m x 5m stage or larger.
- This show uses several pieces of large equipment, so some backstage space
for storage of the equipment and assistant’s costume changes between the
sequences of the show is needed.
- This show looks best when performed under professional lighting (spotlights of
500 W or more). The lights will enhance the visual aspects of the show, the
beautiful design of the props as well as the glamorous costumes George and
his assistant use on stage.
- A professional audio system is needed. Some of the music for the show should
be played on cues, so a technical rehearsal with a sound technician is
mandatory.
- Stagehands (1 or 2) are needed for this show. Local stagehands provided by
the Organizers can be used. Minimum 2 technical rehearsals with stagehands
are mandatory before the first show. The role of the stagehands is to handle the
equipment during the show as well as to help reset the show if performed
several times during the same day.

EQUIPMENT/PROPS
This show uses equipment that comes in ATA cases. Most convenient way for having
it transported to Muscat is by airline cargo shipment, but if needed, it can also be
transported as check in luggage on the plane (some prearrangements with the airlines
are necessary in this case having in mind that the dimensions and weights of the
cases are somewhat different from the usual airline luggage standards). The weight
(in kilos) and the dimensions (in centimeters) of the cases are:

FEE
We are proud to be able to offer this show for a special festival fee of US$ 4 500 for a
one month contract, US$ 3 000 for a two week contract or US$ 2 200 for one week
contract.
