Loving Myself
Loving Myself
Loving Myself
I am brushing
away my so called flaws. Today I am putting on my rose colored glasses, in the hopes that they
will one day become permanent, and no longer a temporary fix.
Today I am choosing to love myself because I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
When I put myself down, I only miss out on moments of joy and happiness. When I put myself
down, I hide my value away from myself – I shield my body in pity. I hurt too much. When I
choose to love myself, I have everything to gain because I will be open and free, not tied back or
hidden away by my own self-constructed limitations.
Today I am choosing to love myself because not loving myself is exhausting. When my brain
feeds my mind and body hurtful insults and negative words, my desire to live and to grow is
smothered. My body is tired. My mind is worn out. My hopes and goals are washed away. These
harmful words dim my sparkle and hide my heart in the shadows. Hate is a much heavier load
than love.
Today I am choosing to love myself because I have found peace in the realization that not
everyone will love me. Not everyone will like me. But how they feel is a reflection of them, not
of me. We are all different souls, and we all find connection with different people. I now see that
my own self-love and validation is more powerful than validation from others. And when I
choose to love myself, the right people will come into my little corner of the world.
Today I am choosing to love myself because when I love myself, my heart shines brighter. I
flourish when I do what I love. The hesitance in my step weakens. I stand a little bit taller; I hold
my head up higher. With love in my heart, I have more confidence and grace in my step. I notice
the red flowers I walk past. I feel the sun shining on my arms. I am more present. I shine with the
sun.
Today I am choosing to love myself because I need someone to lean on. I need to know that I
can be at home in my own body. I need to know that I am coming home to myself, and that is
enough. That is plenty. I am choosing to love this comforting home.
Today I am choosing to love myself because I want to love others purely. I want to love
others with no jealousy and no envy. I want to love others uniquely, with strength and bravery. I
want to admire others without wishing I were more like them. I want to be able to give
compliments freely and genuinely, with deep honesty.
Today I am choosing to love myself so that I can in turn be a better friend. When I love
myself, I have more room in my heart to care for the hearts of my loved ones. I have more to
offer to others – more to give. When I love myself, I have a greater capacity for love
Today I choose to love myself because there is no need for hate. The world already has
enough negative energy. What the world truly needs is more kindness…more vulnerability. Self-
love is an act or pure compassion. It nurtures positive vibes that shine and sparkle throughout the
universe.
Today I am choosing to love myself because love is my purpose. I am in this world for the sole
purpose of spreading love, and of “being” love. By embodying love, I am honoring my own
unique contribution to the world. I am realizing that I am enough, just as I am.

Are you someone who likes to grow? Do you constantly seek to improve yourself and become
better?
I’m very passionate about personal growth. It was just 4 years ago when I discovered my passion
for growing and helping others grow. At that time, I was 22 and in my final year of university.
As I thought about the meaning of life, I realized there was nothing more meaningful than to
pursue a life of development and betterment. It is through improving ourselves that we get the
most out of life.
After a year and a half of actively pursuing growth and helping others to grow through my
personal development blog, I realize there is never an end to the journey of self improvement.
The more I grow, the more I realize there is so much out there I don’t know, so much that I have
to learn.
For sure, there is always something about ourselves we can improve on. The human potential is
limitless, so it’s impossible to reach a point of no growth.
As a passionate advocate of growth, I’m continuously looking for ways to self-improve. I’ve
compiled 42 of my best tips which might be helpful in your personal growth journey. Some of
them are simple steps which you can engage in immediately. Some are bigger steps which takes
conscious effort to act on. Here they are:
What are some books you can start reading to enrich yourself? Some books I’ve read and found
useful are Think and Grow Rich, Who Moved My Cheese, 7 Habits, The Science of Getting Rich
and Living the 80/20 Way.
When you’re reading a book every day, you will feed your brain with more and more knowledge.
Do you know what’s the best way to store up all this knowledge and information? You need this
Digital Brain.

I realized learning a language is a whole new skill altogether and the process of acquainting with
a new language and culture is a totally a mind-opening experience.
Your new hobby can also be a recreational hobby. For example, pottery, Italian cooking,
dancing, wine appreciation, web design, etc.
Learning something new requires you to stretch yourself in different aspects, whether physically,
mentally or emotionally.
It doesn’t have to be a long-term course – seminars or workshops serve their purpose too.
I’ve been to a few workshops and they have helped me gain new insights which I had not
considered before.
In the past, I didn’t like my room at all because I thought it was messy and dull. A few years ago,
I decided this was the end of it – I started on a “Mega Room Revamp” project and overhauled
my room.
The end result? A room I totally relish being in and inspires me to be at my peak every day.
Recognize that your fears reflect areas where you can grow. I always think of fears as the
compass for growth.
If I have a fear about something, it represents something I’ve yet to address, and addressing it
helps me to grow.
A Self-Love Letter To Myself

To start off with, I am so proud of you. Life hasn’t been too easy on you lately, and I am truly
sorry about that. But despite it all, you have managed to keep your head up and continue fighting
throughout.
Be proud of everything you have gone through, and mostly, what you’ve become.
Stop being so hard on yourself. Everything will make sense to you one day. All the pain, hurt,
and frustration will become worth it. Remember, everything happens for a particular reason. You
are in the exact place you are meant to be right now. So breathe, be patient, and trust the course
of your life. Let go of all the expectations you have created in your head. Accept reality as it
comes. Accept life for what it is.
Don’t take everything so personally and try to not let others get you down. Most of the time,
things have nothing to do with you, and everything to do with the other person. When people
hurt you, try and understand their side of the story. Forgive them. Learn from their wrongdoings,
and then let it remain in the past. Not everything is always how it appears.
<h2You are perfect in every way, especially with your flaws. Accept the things that make you
different, while embracing everything that makes you unique.
Even though you think you are broken, there is so much beauty in your pain. Also, you’re really
not as broken as you think you are. You are stronger than anything that has tried to tear you
down. You are a survivor, not a victim. So with that, try not to be so hard on yourself, we
both know you’re doing the best you can.
Create a meaningful life for yourself that you can be proud of. Promise me, you will make the
most of it all. Never let anyone get in the way of your goals in life. More importantly, never give
up on your passions and your dreams. Do not waste your time on people who do not believe in
you. You don’t need anyone like that in your life. Only surround yourself with people who
encourage and inspire you.
You deserve the world and even a little more. You are smart. You are beautiful. You are
enough. You are everything. You are all.
You are so strong my dear. You have been through a lot and come out on the winning end. The
world has tried to break you, but you never let it. Thank your past, for it has made you into a
better person today.
Not everyone you have meet is meant to stay around forever. People will leave you. On the
contrary, you will also leave others. People will disappoint you, and all you can do is learn to
appreciate them for what they have taught you. Thank the people who have stayed. Fill the
spaces of the ones who have gone.
