No Community is Exclusive – including Muslims

Children of Adam (O Mankind!), when messengers (Rusool) come to you from among yourselves,
reciting My revelations to you, for those who are conscious of God (Taqwa) and live righteously (Islah),
there will be no fear, nor will they grieve. (7:35)

Every community of people around the world has succumbed to the insinuations of Satan and they
have created religious ideas which permit them to do whatever they desire (commit sins) and still get
a happy home in the hereafter. For example, Jews are the chosen people and they have no
obligations towards gentiles; this allows Jews to abuse all the non-Jewish people. Jesus Christ went
to Cross to atone the sins of the Christians; now, Christians have got the licence to do whatever
they want; they will go to Heaven because their sins have already been atoned by Jesus (PBUH).
Hindus believe in re-birth, so, they get a licence to commit as many sins as possible in their present
lifetime; the good deeds can wait for the next reincarnation. Muslims believe that Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) will intercede for all the Muslims, no matter how many sins they have committed;
they persuades them to commit all major sins all the while hoping that they will all go to Heaven. This
collection of verses from Quran refutes all such ideas and emphasizes that it is only the good deeds
that will take them to The Garden.

All mankind is equal; no one is better than other on the basis of biological origins; it's only the deeds that will
count on the Judgement Day.

People, We created you all from a single man and a single woman (from male and female), and made you
into races and tribes so that you should recognize one another. In God’s eyes, the most honoured of you
are the ones most mindful of Him: God is all knowing, all aware. (49:13)

And mankind is instructed to maintain the ties of kinship; regardless of which creed it follows:

People (O mankind), be mindful of your Lord, who created you from a single soul (Nafs) and from it
created its mate, and from the pair of them spread countless men and women far and wide; be mindful of
God, in whose name you make requests of one another. Beware of severing the ties of kinship: God is
always watching over you. (4:1)

Allah (SWT) has put mankind as His successors on earth; He increases the ranks of some people, only to
test them; being in a good state is not an indicator that Allah (SWT) is happy with them; He may be testing
them through what He has given them:

It is He who made you successors on the earth and raises some of you above others in rank, to test you
through what He gives you. [Prophet], your Lord is swift in punishment, yet He is most forgiving and merciful.
(6:165)

Allah (SWT) has guided all mankind by putting a natural disposition in it to distinguish between good and bad
and then, enjoin good and forbid wrong.

[Prophet], when your Lord took out the offspring from the loins of the Children of Adam and made them
bear witness about themselves, He said, ‘Am I not your Lord?’ and they replied, ‘Yes, we bear witness.’ So
you cannot say on the Day of Resurrection, ‘We were not aware of this,’ (7:172)

So [Prophet] as a man of pure faith, stand firm and true in your devotion to the religion. This is the natural
disposition (Fitrat) God instilled in mankind (Al-Nas) –– there is no altering God’s creation –– and this is
the right religion, though most people do not realize it. (30:30)

There is no compulsion (free will) in religion (Deen): true guidance has become distinct from error. (2:256 -
Part)
The Divine Message was always the same; from first prophets (Prophets of the People of Noah PBUH) to
last prophet (Muhammad PBUH).

In matters of faith (Deen), He has laid down for you [people] the same commandment that He gave Noah,
which We have revealed to you [Muhammad] and which We enjoined on Abraham and Moses and Jesus:
‘Uphold the faith (Deen) and do not divide into factions within it’ –– what you [Prophet] call upon the
idolaters to do is hard for them; God chooses whoever He pleases for Himself and guides towards Himself
those who turn to Him. (42:13)

There was one community of mankind; it divided only because it differed (in The Message sent from Allah
(SWT)).

All people were originally one single community, but later they differed. If it had not been for a word from
your Lord, the preordained judgement would already have been passed between them regarding their
differences. (10:19)

They divided, out of rivalry, only after knowledge had come to them, and, if it had not been for a decree
already passed by your Lord to reprieve them until an appointed time, they would already have been judged.
Those after them, who inherited the Scripture, are in disquieting doubt about it. (42:14) So [Prophet] call
people to that faith and follow the straight path as you have been commanded. Do not go by what they
desire, but say, ‘I believe in whatever Scripture God has sent down. I am commanded to bring justice
between you. God is our Lord and your Lord –– to us our deeds and to you yours, so let there be no
argument between us and you –– God will gather us together, and to Him we shall return.’ (42:15)

[Messengers], this community of yours is one single community and I am your Lord, so serve Me.
(21:92) They have torn their unity apart, but they will all return to Us. (21:93)

Messengers, eat good things and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. (23:51) This community
of yours is one –– and I am your Lord: be mindful of Me –– (23:52) but they have split their community into
sects, each rejoicing in their own. (23:53) So [Muhammad] leave them for a while steeped [in their
ignorance]. (23:54)

Although, The Message from Allah (SWT) does not change in it's nature – which is, enjoin good and forbid
wrong - different acts of devotion have been assigned to different communities; but, all the communities are
asked to 'Do Good'.

Each community (Kulli - Everyone) has its own direction to which it turns: race to do good deeds and
wherever you are, God will bring you together. (2:148)

We have assigned a law and a path to each (Kulli - Everyone) of you. If God had so willed, He would
have made you one community, but He wanted to test you through that which He has given you, so
race to do good: you will all return to God and He will make clear to you the matters you differed about.
(5:48)

We appointed acts of devotion for every community, for them to celebrate God’s name over the livestock
He provided for them: your God is One, so devote yourselves to Him. [Prophet], give good news to the
humble (22:34) whose hearts fill with awe whenever God is mentioned, who endure whatever happens to
them with patience, who keep up the prayer, who give to others out of Our provision to them. (22:35) We
have made camels part of God’s sacred rites for you. There is much good in them for you, so invoke God’s
name over them as they are lined up for sacrifice, then, when they have fallen down dead, feed yourselves
and those who do not ask, as well as those who do. We have subjected them to you in this way so that you
may be thankful. (22:36) It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches God but your piety. He has
subjected them to you in this way so that you may glorify God for having guided you. Give good news to
those who do good: (22:37)

We have appointed acts of devotion (rites) for every community (Ummah) to observe, so do not let them
argue with you [Prophet] about this matter (about Hajj, most probably). Call them to your Lord –– you are on
the right path –– (22:67)

This difference of character and conduct is present not just in communities but also in each member of
human species.

Say, ‘Everyone does things their own way, but your Lord is fully aware of who follows the best-guided
path.’ (The path of Quran)(17:84)

There are good and bad people present in every community – they will be punished or rewarded according
to their deeds:

Man says, ‘What? Once I am dead, will I be brought back to life?’ (19:66) but does man (Insaan – Mankind)
not remember that We created him when he was nothing before? (19:67) By your Lord [Prophet] We shall
gather them and the devils together and set them on their knees around Hell; (19:68) We shall seize out of
each group (Shiat) those who were most disobedient towards the Lord of Mercy –– (19:69) We
know best who most deserves to burn in Hell –– (19:70) but every single one of you will approach it, a
decree from your Lord which must be fulfilled. (19:71) We shall save the devout and leave the
evildoers there on their knees. (19:72)

The Hour is coming –– though I choose to keep it hidden –– for each soul (Nafs) to be rewarded for
its labour. (20:15)

The Day will come when We gather from every community (Ummah) a crowd of those who disbelieved in
Our signs and they will be led in separate groups (27:83)

The Day will come when He will call out to them, saying, ‘Where are the partners you claimed for Me?’
(28:74) We shall call a witness from every community, and say, ‘Produce your evidence,’ and then they will
know that truth belongs to God alone; the gods they invented will forsake them. (28:75) (There will be a
witness in every community – that means that Men of God are present in every Community of
People.)

Islam is not an exclusivist religion and promises redemption for all who believe in Allah SWT (God) and do
good deeds. As is apparent from following verses.

The [Muslim] believers, the Jews, the Christians, and the Sabians –– all those who believe in God and the
Last Day and do good –– will have their rewards with their Lord. No fear for them, nor will they grieve. (2:62)

Those who have been driven unjustly from their homes only for saying, ‘Our Lord is God.’ If God did not repel
some people by means of others, many monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, where God’s
name is much invoked, would have been destroyed. God is sure to help those who help His cause –– God is
strong and mighty –– (22:40) those who, when We establish them in the land, keep up the prayer, pay the
prescribed alms, command what is right, and forbid what is wrong: God controls the outcome of all
events. (22:41)

Quran also invalidates the common misconception among the People of Book (Christians and Jews) that
only they will be admitted to the paradise. Verses 2:111 – 112 show an all inclusive 'Religion of God' in which
redemption is based upon believing in Allah SWT (God) and doing good deeds; it has nothing to do with
following a certain creed. Most important in verse 112 is that instead of talking about a particular faith group,
the verse is all inclusive and says that 'any' who direct themselves to Allah SWT and do good should have no
fear nor grief on the Judgement Day.

They also say, ‘No one will enter Paradise unless he is a Jew or a Christian.’ This is their own wishful
thinking. [Prophet], say, ‘Produce your evidence, if you are telling the truth.’ (2:111) In fact, any who direct
themselves wholly to God and do good will have their reward with their Lord: no fear for them, nor will they
grieve. (2:112)

The message above is further confirmed by verse 2:148; which commands people to good deeds and Allah
SWT (God) will bring them together (among the righteous on Judgement Day); it further elaborates that
different communities are given different directions to follow.

Each community has its own direction to which it turns: race to do good deeds and wherever you are, God
will bring you together. (2:148)

The Religion of Abraham (PBUH)

The present Sharia (law) and Minhaj (path) started from Abraham (PBUH). The Jews, Christians and
Muslims, all are instructed to follow Religion of Abraham. The bonds between the followers of these should
be stronger than with other religious communities.

They say, ‘Become Jews or Christians, and you will be rightly guided.’ Say [Prophet], ‘No, [ours is] the
religion of Abraham, the upright, who did not worship any god besides God.’ (2:135) So [you believers], say,
‘We believe in God and in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac,
Jacob, and the Tribes, and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and all the prophets by their Lord. We make no
distinction between any of them, and we devote ourselves to Him.’ (2:136)

People of the Book (Jews, Christians and Muslims) are urged to come together based upon the commonality
of their doctrinal beliefs – all of them are the followers of Religion of Abraham (PBUH) (3:64).

Say, ‘People of the Book, let us arrive at a statement that is common to us all: we worship God alone, we
ascribe no partner to Him, and none of us takes others beside God as lords.’ If they turn away, say, ‘Witness
our devotion to Him.’ (3:64)

[Believers], argue only in the best way with the People of the Book, except with those of them who act
unjustly. Say, ‘We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was revealed to you; our God and your
God are one [and the same]; we are devoted to Him.’ (29:46)

Quran also acknowledges the validity of Torah and Gospel for deciding matters among Jews and Christians.
It instructs their religious leaders to follow Torah and Gospel when they have to make a judgement. For
Prophet Muhammad PBUH (and Muslims), Quran has been revealed as a final authority and they are to
follow Quran when deciding any matters among themselves or among any other religious community (5:43 –
5:49). Allah SWT further elaborates that for each community, He has assigned a certain law and path and
that community has to follow that; This is to test different communities, but each community is asked to 'race
to do good' as this is the criterion upon which fate of all will be decided on the Judgement Day. Here, Quran
is not imposing upon the People of the Book to change their religion and only follow Quran, it is still
honouring the Torah and Gospel – despite substantial change in their contents by humans – to decide
matters between the Christians and Jews (although, they still fail to do so).

Messenger, do not be grieved by those who race to surpass one another in disbelief –– those who say with
their mouths, ‘We believe,’ but have no faith in their hearts, and the Jews who listen eagerly to lies and to
those who have not even met you, who distort the meanings of [revealed] words and say [to each other], ‘If
you are given this ruling, accept it, but if you are not, then beware!’ (this is when Jews or Christians bring
their conflicts for resolution to Prophet Muhammad PBUH) –– if God intends some people to be so
misguided, you will be powerless against God on their behalf. These are the ones whose hearts God
does not intend to cleanse –– a disgrace for them in this world, and then a heavy punishment in the
Hereafter –– (5:41) they listen eagerly to lies and consume what is unlawful. If they come to you [Prophet]
for judgement, you can either judge between them, or decline –– if you decline, they will not harm you in any
way, but if you do judge between them, judge justly: God loves the just –– (5:42) but why do they come to
you for judgement when they have the Torah with God’s judgement, and even then still turn away? These
are not believers. (5:43) We revealed the Torah with guidance and light, and the prophets, who had
submitted to God, judged according to it for the Jews. So did the rabbis and the scholars in accordance with
that part of God’s Scripture which they were entrusted to preserve, and to which they were witnesses. So
[rabbis and scholars] do not fear people, fear Me; do not barter away My messages for a small price; those
who do not judge according to what God has sent down are rejecting [God’s teachings]. (5:44) In the Torah
We prescribed for them a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a
tooth, an equal wound for a wound: if anyone forgoes this out of charity, it will serve as atonement for his bad
deeds. Those who do not judge according to what God has revealed are doing grave wrong. (5:45) We
sent Jesus, son of Mary, in their footsteps, to confirm the Torah that had been sent before him: We gave him
the Gospel with guidance, light, and confirmation of the Torah already revealed –– a guide and lesson for
those who take heed of God. (5:46) So let the followers of the Gospel judge according to what God has sent
down in it. Those who do not judge according to what God has revealed are lawbreakers. (5:47) We sent to
you [Muhammad] the Scripture with the truth, confirming the Scriptures that came before it, and with final
authority over them: so judge between them according to what God has sent down. Do not follow their
whims, which deviate from the truth that has come to you. We have assigned a law and a path to each of
you. If God had so willed, He would have made you one community, but He wanted to test you through
that which He has given you, so race to do good: you will all return to God and He will make clear to you
the matters you differed about. (5:48) So [Prophet] judge between them according to what God has sent
down. Do not follow their whims, and take good care that they do not tempt you away from any of what God
has sent down to you. If they turn away, remember that God intends to punish them for some of the sins they
have committed: a great many people are lawbreakers. (5:49)
There are no Chosen people based upon religion; the only people chosen are based upon their deeds:

The Jews and the Christians say, ‘We are the children of God and His beloved ones.’ Say, ‘Then why does
He punish you for your sins? You are merely human beings, part of His creation. (5:18) People of the Book,
Our Messenger comes to you now, after a break in the sequence of messengers, to make things clear for
you in case you should say, ‘No one has come to give us good news or to warn us.’ (5:19)

Verses 5:68 and 5:69 again confirm to People of the book that they need to uphold their Scriptures if they
want to follow the true path. Again, like in 2:62, they are affirmed that they are only required to believe and do
good deeds to find success in the Hereafter.

Say, ‘People of the Book, you have no true basis [for your religion] unless you uphold the Torah, the
Gospel, and that (Quran) which has been sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad PBUH) from your Lord,’
but what has been sent down to you [Prophet] from your Lord is sure to increase many of them in their
insolence and defiance: do not worry about those who defy [God]. (5:68) For the [Muslim] believers, the
Jews, the Sabians, and the Christians –– those who believe in God and the Last Day and do good deeds ––
there is no fear: they will not grieve. (5:69)

Whole Surah 98 tells about the 'Correct Religion' of Allah SWT, which is to worship one God (Allah SWT)
sincerely, keep up prayer and pay the prescribed alms. To note here particularly is that no religion is
mentioned by name, term used is True/Correct Religion. The people of the book and idolaters who turned
away only after they were given the clear evidence and message are called 'worst of creation'.While those
who believe – again, no religion is mentioned, only belief in Allah SWT is required – and do good deeds are
called best of creations.

Those who disbelieve among the People of the Book and the idolaters were not about to change their ways
until they were sent clear evidence, (98:1) a messenger from God, reading out pages [blessed with] purity,
(98:2) containing true scriptures (correct writings). (98:3) [Yet] those who were given the Scripture became
divided only after they were sent [such] clear evidence (98:4) though all they are ordered to do is worship
God alone, sincerely devoting their religion to Him as people of true faith, keep up the prayer, and pay the
prescribed alms, for that is the true (Correct) religion. (98:5) Those who disbelieve among the People of the
Book and the idolaters will have the Fire of Hell, there to remain. They are the worst of creation. (98:6) Those
who believe and do good deeds are the best of creation. (98:7) Their reward with their Lord is everlasting
Gardens graced with flowing streams, where they will stay forever. God is well pleased with them and they
with Him. All this is for those who stand in awe of their Lord. (98:8)

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

This is additional.
Allah (SWT) will make those people successors on the land who Believe and Do Good – Religion of
Abraham (PBUH) is a sure contender:

God has made a promise to those among you who believe and do good deeds: He will make them
successors (Khalifa – Caliph) to the land, as He did those (Khalifa) who came before them; He will
empower the religion He has chosen for them; He will grant them security to replace their fear. ‘They will
worship Me and not join anything with Me.’ Those who are defiant after that will be the rebels. –– (24:55)

One thing to note here, especially, is that there is no mention of Muslims; instead, all people who believe and
do good deeds will be made successors.

The day will come when We raise up a witness from every community, when the disbelievers will not be
allowed to make excuses or amends. (16:84)

The day will come when We raise up in each community a witness against them, and We shall bring you
[Prophet] as a witness against these people, for We have sent the Scripture down to you explaining
everything, and as guidance and mercy and good news to those who devote (lil-muslimina) themselves to
God. (16:89)
you [Prophet] are not told anything that the previous messengers were not told (41:43)
