 Later a film adaptation was also released in 2015. The movie embraced a huge success with
really good reviews and response from critics and the audience .
 Even though its really good ,if you don’t read the book you miss a lot of the story and character
development and jokes.

Summary :
 Takes place in the year 2035
 Follows the story of Mark Watney also referred as Matt , who is the resident botanist and
engineer on NASA’s Ares 3 mission to Mars

 Powerful Sand storm makes the crew of Ares 3 to evacuate and returnee to Erath.

 Mark is hit by a satellite and thought to be dead. His crew leaves him behind.

 Stranded on Mars with no way to contact his crew or NASA.

What I liked about this book :

 Even though it’s a science fiction novel, the story could actually happen in the future.
 Elon Musk,Space X and even NASA
 Full of humor and comic relief (Everything can be fix with duck tape)
 Story is really catchy and interesting
 The book is structured like a journal (Sol log)
 Its appealing to everyone and it gives a sneak peek in to the future of mankind.
