Techfest​​​ ​WorldMUN 2018 : Walkthrough

Team Techfest 2018-19 ​welcomes you to ​IIT BOMBAY​​. Following are some general guidelines for
your assistance.

1. Registration:

● All the participants should preferably report on ​14th December ​at the Main Gate​. Participants are
required to arrive quite early as registration at Main Gate as it may take time owing to lot of crowd
there. As event is going to start at 7:30 AM, it is preferable if all the participants report at ​6:30 AM
at IIT Bombay main gate.
● It is mandatory for participants to carry the receipt of payment and other documents during the
registration process.
● A ​registration or Identity card ​will be given to them. The participants should carry this card at all
times in the campus. Misplacement of the registration card will lead to direct disqualification from
the MUN. Participants need to register only once during the fest.
● Those carrying their laptops, CPU or similar electronic gadgets will have to declare their
belongings at IIT Bombay Main Gate and get a ​'Gate Pass'​​. Your belongings will be checked on
your way out of IIT Bombay and those who fail to produce their Gate Pass may have their
belongings impounded.

2.Accommodation:

● The ​accommodation receipt ​with detail of accommodation will be sent to those who have
completed the payment for accommodation.
● Those who have been given accommodation ​outside ​IIT Bombay can directly check in at their
respective venues after 8 AM, depending on the dates availed by you, by showing the
accommodation receipt with the reference of our Hospitality Manager - Sahil SIngh (+91
8708072652).
● A ​green band and a delegate ID will be provided in the delegate kit, to all delegates, irrespective
of their accommodation, which must be kept at all times by the delegates. The green band will be
used to get an ​entry in the Technoholix nights​​.

3.Brief Up:
● After registration at Main Gate on 14th December 2018, participants must proceed for breakfast at
the LCH 1 ground floor hall(marked as D4_47 in the map). After that, assemble at ​LT PCSA
(C4_64 in the map) ​for opening ceremony of Techfest World MUN which will commence at sharp
7:30 AM.
● Total ​6 sessions​​ will be conducted as mentioned in schedule.
● The ​dress code​​ for the conference will be​ ​western/indian formals​​.

4.Event Day:
● The venue for sessions will be ​LT classrooms in LCH 1 ​(marked as D4_47 in the map) as
informed after opening ceremony.
● All participants must report and settle at venue 15 minutes ahead of scheduled timings of each
event.
● The delegates will be guided for the lunch breaks by the organizing staff. ​It is mandatory that
participants must carry their TWMUN identity cards at the lunch counters.

5.Food And Beverages:

● Food and beverage stalls will be installed near the Convocation Front-yard (marked C3_21 ​in the
map) during the daytime and at Food Court in SAC (marked as B3_69 ​in the map) after
Technoholix at night.
● Lunch and breakfast will be served at venue itself as scheduled.

6.Results And Certificates (Subject to change as per the executive board):

● There are 2 awards with prize money per committee, namely Best Delegate and High
Commendation, which will be awarded.
● Special Mentions and Verbal Commendations are subject to the executive board, and do not have
any prize money.

7.Certificate Policy:

● Certificate of excellence will be awarded to the prize winners mentioned above.

● Certificate of participation will be given to the delegates. This will be an e-certificate which will only
be provided given that the delegate has attended all the committee sessions. The details of how to
avail the e-certificate will be provided during the conference.
● Disqualified participants will not be considered for any certificates.
