1.0 PURPOSE
The purpose of this method statement is to establish, monitor and control all
activities before concrete work to do condensate drain as per the HVAC
requirements.
2.0 INTRODUCTION
The procedure covers the activities pertaining to providing sleeves & openings
as per project requirements for construction of "2 nd Asian Beach Games 2010".

5.0 RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Manager shall be responsible for coordination with Project engineer and
organization for the necessary resources & to ensure the works carried out
meeting the project quality requirement.
Project Engineer shall be responsible for planning & coordinating of day to day
work activities & notify the next day work plan to all concern including the
QA/QC Department.
6.0 EQUIPMENT
Mechanical tool kit with primary tools (i.e. Measuring Tape, Hammer, Spirit
level, wire cutter, Hex blade with mounting bracket etc.)

7.0 PROCEDURE
7.1 Check and ensure all drawings used for installation are latest and approved for
construction.
7.2 Mark the drainage pipe routing and support location as per approved drawing.
7.3 Check the co – ordination of piping layout with other services and decide pipe
route with minimum bends / offsets.
7.4 Check for the proper U-trap is provided wherever shown in the approved
drawing.
7.5 Check and ensure sufficient clearance around pipe for applying insulation
7.6 Cut proper size of the length and debar. Put proper size of insulation.
7.7 Ensure to apply proper glue at the joint of rubber tube insulation.
7.10 Fix the Anchor fasteners, threaded rods and supports, Threaded rod length
shall be sufficient to allow for leveling of piping
7.12 Prepare the pipe ends according to the type of joints, and fix it properly.
8.0 SAFETY
8.1 Effective supervision regarding safety shall be provided during HVAC activities.
8.2 Workers shall wear appropriate PPE while working on the slab & shall follow tall
the primary safety procedures.
8.3 Employees shall wear safety helmets, shoe, safety glass & over coat while
entering in to working premises.
8.4 Employees shall use movable scaffolding while working above 2.5 Meters with
proper safety belt.
