Teachers, and Teachers

No. of Pax : 750

Budgetary Requirements:

Source of Funds: School MOOE or any other Local Funds

Rationale:

The Mid-Year Performance Review and Evaluation is an annual activity of

the Department of Education aims to promote communication and provide useful feedback
about job performance, to facilitate better working relationships, to provide a historical
record of performance and to contribute to professional development. This also allows
DepEd employees to make proactive, mid-course assessments of the teachers. Further,
the activity also addresses concerns on the school-wide implementation of the new RPMS
Manual, and it hopes to provide a clear direction to mainstream gender issues (R.A. 9710)
on the adoption of the tool for planning, monitoring and assessing performance of men
and women in the school as an organization.

The DepEd hereby implemented the RPMS in the department that stipulates the
strategies, methods, tools and rewards for assessing the accomplishment vis-à-vis the
commitments. This will be measuring and rewarding higher levels of performance of the
various units and development planning of all personnel in the department.
Objectives:

This 5-day activity on the Mid-Year Performance Review and Evaluation aims to:

1. apprise the teachers on the National Adoption and Implementation of the Philippine
Professional Standards for Teachers, PAG-IBIG MP2, Department of Health matters,
and Cluster Report on the Implementation & Performance of Curriculum Delivery and
Academic Performance.

2. allocate training on Pedagogical Retooling in Mathematics, Languages, and Science

and other subjects.

3. provide an opportunity to all the employees to appraise their performance for the first
semester.

Strategies:
School heads have convened and planned the cluster-2 Mid- Year Performance
Review and Evaluation. Participants are all Cluster 2 teachers. Facilitators of the different
topics were assigned to ensure that combined route is established.
