Guidelines for Judging Compulsory Routines

1. Each performer starts with 10 points.


2. Judges are to make deductions based on errors, imperfections in how the performer moves
and/or positions his/her body.
3. Deductions are classified as follows:
Small deductions: -.10 or -.20 points.
> > For ex. not holding a pose, curling toes up, needing an extra step, stopping
midway in a routine.

Medium deductions: -.30 or -.40 points.


> > For ex. bending legs, arms; losing your balance, having to touch the mat, short or
low jumps.

Large deductions: -.50 points.


> > For ex. not holding a pose, curling toes up, needing an extra step, stopping
midway in a routine.

Max. deduction: -1.00 point.


> > Leaving out a required routine component.
