Cannabis is a plant that produce a most world widely known popular illegal drug, the
Marijuana. Despite of its bad image, Cannabis can heal deadly diseases like cancer cells. It was
already used as medicine long time ago. But due to irresponsible usage of the plant, it caused
so much destruction to the community and the citizen itself. As the result, it was declared as
illegal.

The documentary of the people who used cannabis as medicine to cure their diseases
shows how effective the plant is. The film “Weed the People” proved that cannabis is a great
medicine to cure cancer. Unfortunately, lack of exploration to the plant is the problem.
Desperate parents do the experimentation by their selves instead of the professional ones. In
the film, it proves that humans are fools. They are scared for something that actually a god’s
gift. Human beings are too stupid that they try their best to eradicate a plant which can be a
great medicine instead taking care of it and study about its benefits. It is true that cannabis is
very dangerous plant, it can cause several effects to both physical and mental health of a being.
The effect can be good or bad, it depends of the usage. People are too naïve, most are selfish
and evil that makes the plant dangerous.

Thoughts

As the world get globalized and modernized, lots of changes happened especially about
the unaccepted things to get reconsidered. And one of these changes is about the community.
Unfortunately, one the most important to reconsider is the legalization of usage of cannabis is
being left behind. Lots of people are crying to make it legal, especially in the Philippines.
Despites of the effectiveness of the plant, it is still unaccepted to the society. People choose to
flight or migrate to other countries just to be able to use the cannabis as their medicine. There
are already lots of experimentation and documentation about how effective the cannabis can
be a medicine that other treatment like chemo therapy can not to do so. Just like the film “weed
the people”, the film shows how cannabis cure a tumor that even the doctors failed to. Why
can’t we make the cannabis a legal medicine instead of prohibiting it. The problem to us
humans, we are consumed by our fear. We are getting modernized but missed to get this one
to be globalized. People are sometimes stupid and fools, they focused on something that not
really important and forget about the things that should given a real improvement. It is funny
to think that contemporary world means to cure parochialism but unable to understand the true
benefits of cannabis. We already said globalization is reality, why still not to legalized the plant
despite of the evidences of its effectiveness. The real problem here is the mental state of most
people in this world, instead of studying the cannabis to the extent of its advantage we are being
afraid its bad side effects that makes as blind from the truth. If not being afraid, people are
being greedy, selfish, evil creature.
