DAMBANA NG KAGITINGAN
MOUNT SAMAT Dambana ng Kagitingan or Shrine of Valor is a 73,665-hectare park
built in 1966. The 92-meter high cross is dedicated to the fallen
heroes of the Second World War. The place was a witness of the 
bravery and heroism of Filipinos and Americans during the
Philippines' last stand against the Japanese Imperial Forces.

The shrine's colonnade is clad in marble. You can also see


the embossed sculptures of National Artist Napoleon
Abueva aroud it, depicting war scenes. Also, the bronze
insignias of the USAFE is present.
