from https://www.earmaster.com/.

Ear Master is an app that has all sorts of different ear training exercises on it. It is made for any
instrumentalist/vocalist. It includes ear training workshops, rhythm training and sight singing. I think it is
a great app for people that struggle with aural skills and rhythm. This perfect for learning how to
transpose music too. This reaches people of all skill level and would be perfect for students to practice
on.

GuitarLessons. (2015, June 9). Retrieved September 26, 2019, from

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpHciMYBksk.
This is a Youtube video on the very basics of playing the guitar. The teacher gives the learner five
easy steps to learning the guitar. I think he does a wonderful job starting with making sure you know the
technique of holding the guitar and how to sit before he even plays. This would be useful for people who
want to learn on their own how to play guitar without face to face instruction.

Hallam, S. (2004). Learning in music: Complexity and diversity. In Issues in music teaching (pp. 72-86).
Routledge.

This is a book that focuses the importance of music and how one should teach it to reflect its
beauty. The book discusses Music being a form of communication. It mainly focuses on what a society
without music would be like because music is all around us. From reading the first chapter, I believe this
is a great book for teaching college or maybe highschool level music. While it might not be the best
resource for students, it is a great resource for teachers in understanding the importance of teaching the
beauty of music and its prevalence in the everyday life.

Learn Guitar, Piano, Ukulele With The Songs you Love. (0AD). Retrieved September 26, 2019, from
https://yousician.com/.
This is a great website for learning to play the Guitar, piano and Ukuele. Most kids want to be
able to play popular songs on the piano or guitar, but they don’t know the chords. It is a great app for all
ages to sing and play at the same time with simple chords.

Parncutt, R., & McPherson, G. (Eds.). (2002). The science and psychology of music performance: Creative
strategies for teaching and learning. Oxford University Press.

This is a great book for Teachers because it talks about types of different types of learners and
the best ways to learn, memorize and teach music. The book includes input from both a musician or
music teacher and a music psychologist. I think this book is good for teachers because it will allow them
to better connect with their students and be more efficient in teaching music after learning the
psychological reasoning behind certain ways of teaching music.

This a wonderful sight for students to practice all aspects of music theory. This site has exercises
on interval, chord and key signature construction. It also has theory lessons and keyboard recognition.
This would be a great site for teachers and students. Students could practice outside of class on the site
and teachers can use the site in class in interactive and engaging ways.
(0AD). Retrieved September 26, 2019, from https://www.wwbw.com/pages/Band-Methods.wwbw.

This is a large selection of instrumental methods books varying from Jazz books, Flute books and
Musicianship books. Based on the book we went through in class I think these books are perfect for
teaching in class. One of the Method books has little pieces to play in it and they get harder as the book
progresses.

(2012, August 21). Retrieved September 26, 2019, from https://youtu.be/9TKOgqHC6Yg.

This is a youtube video on the basics of playing the piano. The teacher discusses each key name
and how to play a C major all white keys scale. I think that this would be a great tutorial for someone
who wants to learn the notes on the piano outside of a school setting. This would be good for someone
hoping to play block chords.
