~ PASSIVE VOICE ~

Dalam Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, kita mengenal kalimat aktif dan kalimat
pasif. Seperti misalnya, dalam kalimat aktif terdapat kalimat Ibu membeli
apel, maka dalam kalimat pasifnya berubah menjadi Apel dibeli oleh
ibu. Mudah bukan? Kita hanya perlu menukar posisi antara Objek dan
Subjeknya saja (Metode SPOK). Begitu halnya dalam bahasa inggris, namun
bedanya, disini kita memakai acuan Tenses sebagai titik tolak agar kita dapat
merubah kalimat aktif tersebut menjadi kalimat pasif. Kunci utamanya, kita
harus mampu memahami ciri dari setiap tenses yang adaagar kita dapat lebih
mudah mengidentifikasi rumus Tenses yang akan kita gunakan untuk
melakukan perubahan. Berikut rumusnya dalam bahasa inggris :

 From Of The Passive Voice :

1. Simple Present Tense

 Active : S + Verb 1 (s/es) + O
Ex : My Sister writes a letter
 Passive : O + is/am/are + V3 + by...
Ex : A letter os written by My Sister

2. Present Perfect Tense

 Active : S + have/has + V3 + O
Ex : The students have copied the lesson
 Passive : O + have/has + been + V3 + by...
Ex : The lesson has been copied by the students

3. Present Continous Tense

 Active : S + is/am/are + V-ing + O
Ex : She is typing the letter
 Passive : O + is/am/are + being + V3 + by...
Ex : The letter is typed by her

4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense

 Active : S + have/has + been + V-ing + O
Ex : He has been cleaning the room for two hours
 Passive : O + have/has + been + being + V3 + by...
Ex : The room has been being cleaned by him

5. Past Tense
 Active : S + V2 + O
Ex : He returned the money last night
 Passive : O + was/were + V3 + by...
Ex : The money was returned by him last night
 6. Past Perfect Tense
 Active : S + had + V3 + O
Ex : He had locked the door
 Passive : O + had been + V3 + by...
Ex : The door had been locked by him

7. Past Continous Tense

 Active : S + was/were + V-ing + O
Ex : They were repairing the computer
 Passive : O + was/were being + V3 + by...
Ex : The computer was being repaired by them

8. Past Perfect Continous Tense

 Active : S + had + been + V-ing + O
Ex : We had been repairing the radio
 Passive : O + had + been + being + V3 + by...
Ex : The radio had been being repairing by us

9. Future

a) Will

 Active : S + modals + V1 + O
Ex : We will sell the house next month
 Passive : O + modals + be + V3 + by...
Ex : The house will be sold by us next month

b) Be going to

 Active : S + is/am/are + going to + V1 + O

Ex : He is going to buy a new tv
 Passive : O + is/am/are + going to + be + V3 + by...
Ex : A new tv is going to be bought by them
