ADDING AND SUBTRACTING RADICAL EXPRESSION

TO add the or subtract the indicesand what is inside


the (called the radicand) must be exactly the same.IF the
indices and radicand are the same,thenthen add
or subtract the terms in front of each like radical. If the
indices or radicands are not the same, then you can not
addor subtract the radicals.

MULTIPLYING AND DIVIDING RADICAL EXPRESSION

Use the dividing radicals (with the same index), divide


under the radical, and then divide in front of the radical
distributive property to multiply. There are NO like terms to
be combined. Dividing Radicals: When (divide any values
multiplied times the radicals).
