• Directed, organized and adapted the SEDC MultiService master customer billing
program to match changes made to the corporate billing program.
• Researched other software tools to improve on the efficiency of the UltraEdit
application. Invited MicroFocus team to visit us for consultation. Resulting

• Provided day-to-day IBM mainframe production support in a TSO z/OS
environment on Stratus platform for domestic U.S. and International credit, debit,
and gift card COBOL applications which process millions of sales transactions daily.

• Managed life cycle implementation of new and modified CICS / COBOL
modules from the test environment to production.
• Implemented quality assurance plans to ensure that production applications weren’t
compromised; this included code inspection for malicious content.
• Monitored the Stratus mainframe systems for performance-related issues.
• Provided applications support for the Sustainment Mainframe Group of the Stock
Control System (parts-tracking inventory) for the U.S. Air Force base in Fairborn.
• Conducted reviews for software design, coding (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS) and
testing for TSO users of the Stock Control System.
• COBOL, DB2 and CICS coding for maintenance and development followed by
subsequent testing within SCS per user specifications. Used REXX and
CLISTS.

• Maintained and enhanced the Basic Automatic Replenishment System called
“BARS” (COBOL), and automated system to regulate merchandise inventory

• DB2 coding with SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT, and DELETE commands. Each
conversation of the next bullet point involved separate DB2 tables in the
application plus SELECT information from other DB2 tables in the
Merchandise Information application.
• Added cloning and store balancing conversations; enhanced attribute and
profile conversations to save corporate expenses.
• Maintained and installed vendor package releases (already Y2K compliant) for the
Merchandise Planning (“MP”) System.
• Contributed to IT Department’s Programming Standards Committee in
recognition of excellent coding quality for DB2, COBOL and CICS coding.
