Claim + Evidence + Reasoning = Explanation

After completing the reading and handouts make your claim for what you think would best help you survive a
zombie apocalypse and how to best defeat a zombie after learning how their body systems work compared to a
human.

Question: What things or items will you need to survive a zombie apocalypse and maintain homeostasis while
at the same time defeating the zombies? Use this page to organize your thoughts and answer the questions in
each box. You will then combine all of this information in paragraph form on a sheet of notebook paper.

CLAIM:
1. Answer the question in complete sentences.
2. Make sure you include the things or items
you will need to survive the zombie
apocalypse.
3. Make sure to include a brief description of
how you will defeat the zombies.

EVIDENCE:
1. Describe the data that supports your claim.
2. What other information did you discover that
supports your claim?
3. Discuss how the things or items you want
relate to maintaining homeostasis as well as
how they would defeat a zombie.
4. Be specific and relate it to the body
systems.

REASONING:
1. How can this conclusion explain that you will
be successful in your attempt at surviving
and defeating the zombie apocalypse?
2. Describe the strengths and weaknesses of
this conclusion based on the data you have
found in your research (both how a human’s
body systems work and how a zombies body
systems work.
3. Explain why your evidence is important and
relevant. Do not just restate the claim.
