Genetics Brochure

Choose a topic you are passionate about in the genetics unit. This includes genetic

disorders, GMO foods, or another misconception about genetics that either the general public or

your community has. Make sure you go over your topic with me before you go on to the next

step. Create a brochure that acts as a Public Service Announcement to show a general overview

about genetics. A section of the brochure will also focus on your chosen topic. The brochure can

be made physically or digitally using either ​Canva​ or ​Adobe Spark​. You will need to present this

to parents during open house. This can be done in person or through a video recording using

Knovio​.

In order to get full credit:

● Make sure you include information about:

○ DNA

○ RNA

○ Mitosis

○ Meiosis

○ Transcription

○ Translation

○ Phenotype

○ Genotype

○ Your topic

● Use at least 5 images

● Present using PVLEGS in order to get all the information across.
