Minute Paper – Week 7

What was the most significant (useful, meaningful, surprising etc.) thing you learned during this
session?

Phil Trenbath is someone that stood out for me. I admire how he worked his way up to become a
partner of a successful marketing agency.

His advice consisted of:

 Using the internships as a way to impress your employers. Good talent is hard to find - don't
treat it as a chore but instead utilise the opportunity and make an impression in your 100
hours.
 Your qualification gets you to the table from there you need to be a good person.
 Actively work on beginning your career now. Approach the market and establish relationship,
work out where you'd like to go.

What question(s) remain in your mind at the end of this session?

At the end of this session most of my questions had been answered.

In the end I walked out wondering if we’d have the opportunity for a session like this again, because
the advice was incredibly helpful.
