Conclusion

Represent inferences drawn from the findings of the study.

Writing effective conclusions

1. Conclusions are intertwined with the introductions.


2. Conclusions are inferences and generalizations based upon the findings.
3. Conclusion should be specifically answer the question posed in the statement of the problem of
your “research study”
4. Conclusion should contain facts or actual results from the inquiry or research study.

Other guidelines in writing conclusions

1. Conclusion should be clearly, concisely and briefly stated.


2. Should be original and accurate
3. Should not include new arguments, new ideas or information not related to your study.
4. Should leave the reader with an interesting final impression.
5. Should refer only to the subjects or population of your research study.
6. Should contain categorical statements.
7. Should not contain apologetic statements.

FORMULATING RECOMMENDATIONS

Recommendations typically play a vital portion of the research study. They are based on the findings of
the study. They should not be based on your own beliefs or biases. They should not be broad to lose its
relevance to the exact topic of a research study.

Purposes

1. Policy recommendations
2. Recommendation for future research directions
3. Recommendations to some problems discovered in the research study.

How to list references in APA style

The entry for books begins with the last name of the author, followed by a comma and authors initilas
followed by periods
