 ABSTRACT

In this proposal, the construction of Smart Telecommunication cell tower for signal

booster is being focused which tries to eliminate the numerous complaints of having poor cell

phone signals from teachers and students in La Castellana National High School-Senior High

School. This proposal aims the approval of the target funder as well as the school’s stuff to be

implemented.

That is why the researchers believe that the construction of Smart Telecommunication

cell tower for signal booster in La Castellana National High School- Senior High School is

needed. The signal booster that is 1.3 million in total aims to boost the signal in Sitio Villa Caña

in order for the students and teachers to have an easy access on the internet and can easily

communicate with someone if ever there is an emergency.

CONTEXT OF THE PROBLEM

Students as well as teachers in La Castellana National High School-Senior High School

are torn between sufferings on signal problem or just leave it like that even though they feel

anxious when it comes to emergency communication purposes. There are numerous complaints

of having poor cell phone signal from teachers especially students taking up research subject in

our school. This leads our group to propose a subject that will ease the problem with regards to

cell phone signal.

La Castellana National High School-Senior High School is located at Sitio Villa Caña,

Brgy. Robles, La Castellana which is known to be a “barrio” that is why there is poor intensity of

telecommunication’s signal. The school is also surrounded by mountains and only part to have

signal is in the 4th floor of the buildings. In case of emergency and health concern of students and

teachers we cannot easily contact responsible people to provide immediate response. Like during

Research and other subjects, we cannot seek internet connection and check if we are giving

relevant ideas, compare to other schools who might fair to cope up with them in a certain subject.

There is also a delay in spreading updates or announcements during bad weather conditions or

calamities. Indeed, this project should be approved in terms of information dissemination, safety,

health concern of students and teachers as well as the community.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION

La Castellana National High School-Senior High is located at Sitio Villa Caña, Barangay

Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, the area was surrounded by mountains, and the Sitio

is also far from the town almost 4-5 km in distance. One problem that the Sitio and the school is

struggling in present is the low-frequency signal range in this particular area, in order to spot cell

phone signals in this area you need to find high point places. This problem needs an immediate

action to help and improve the current situation and also to be a useful instrument for the Senior

High School students. ( Include reasons why you are the most deserving team to proposed and

implement the project) Hoping that we can address this particular issue with the cooperation of

the faculty and staffs of La Castellana National High School-Senior High, Local Government

Unit, target funder and Smart Telecommunication Companies. A very fruitful project that can

enhance the improvement of the said area and the improving Senior High Department of

LCNHS. If this project will be approved it can help the following arising problems: Research for

students, Emergency calling and immediate spreading of information.

 CONCLUSION

The main goal of this project was to design and construct a Smart Telecommunications

cell tower for signal booster, of height 150 feet with high-frequency range to distribute signal

faster. This project has taken paths:

 First, the project has been addressed. This problem is being experienced by the students

for about 3 years since it was first opened. Poor signal or having low-frequency range of

telecommunications tower all over the campus causes hardship on every students in terms

of searching, communicating and keeping updated. In this case, Project Team No. 1 come

up to an idea of proposing a project that will help ease the problem with regards to low-

frequency signal range experienced at school.

 Second, the proposal will ask approval from the target funder as well as the LCNHS-SHS

Staffs. This will aim for the approval of the target sponsor and the school’s stuffs in order

to be implemented. In this case, the goals and significance of the project will be presented

to be considered for their grant.

In both cases, implementing the project will undergo series of process. This will

improve the behaviours, especially in the low-frequency signal ranges due to the location of the

school where in cell phone signals are hard to find. It is concluded that if granted, this will be a

huge help for the students and teachers in giving relevant ideas about their lessons,
communicating purposes especially in emergency and important matters and keeping updated

about important announcements, bad weather conditions and calamities.
