ABSTRACT
Preschoolers are easier to receive information through media tools. One of the media
which is liked by preschoolers is audio visual. This case study aimed to find out the
description of family nursing care at the development stage of preschool children in the
work area of Puskesmas Gondangrejo, Karanganyar. This study used a case study
approach. It was used to explore the problem of family nursing care on the stage of
preschool children development with the problem of health behavior which tends to be at
risk. The data collection methods used were by doing interviews and conducting
observation (to measure skills). Health education with audio visuals was carried out three
times. The results of the observations obtained before conducting the health education
action by audio visual media showed 5 indicators which were carried out from 11
indicators of hand washing with soap. After conducting health education with audio
visuals media, 10 indicators were carried out from 11 indicators of hand washing with
soap that was assessed. From the results of the case study, it can be concluded that there
was an increase in the hand washing behavior with soap in preschool children.
