Failure is proof that the desire wasn’t strong enough.

The desire to accomplish something is a very important step towards success. But it often must
be accompanied by hard work, dedication, the will to sacrifice time and energy to accomplish a certain
goal. So, I partly agree with the given statement.
On the one hand, if I want something, that pushes me to work hard and do whatever I can to
make it happen. Desire should be just a reason that pushes you toward your goals and makes you give
your best and be the best version of yourself. If you really wish something to happen, you break every
barrier you need to in order to get to success. But that means that you need to let yourself driven by
your desire, a desire strong enough to push you over your limits and overcome failure.
For the other hand, that is not necessary or universally valid. Desire might not be a reason
strong enough to determine you dedicate, and you cannot do anything with desire alone. Your wish
could be something big, like becoming president, or something small. For example, you are at home
watching TV, and your desire is to change the channel. But the remote is not near you, and you are
tired, so you keep watching the same boring channel, because your desire is just not strong enough to
overcome the laziness.
In conclusion, I think that failure can be a lack of desire, but desire doesn’t assure your success.
