VILLAGE: Kaimbwala Village

NAME OF SARPANCH: Mr. Dilip Kumar (Sonu Bhaiya)
CONTACT NO: 987688701

EDUCATION: 1 Government Model Senior Secondary School

(Till Class 12th class) in the whole village. About 1,600
students are enrolled in the school and a staff consisting of
75 teachers is present at the school. Infrastructure condition
is ok but school extension building construction is pending
and incomplete till date. School has both English and Hindi
Medium Sections but about 90% of students study in Hindi
Medium sections.
DIGITALIZATION: Less Digitalisation as people are unaware
about new software’s and technologies. Use of Online
Banking and Cashless Transactions using Paytm or Google
Pay is minimum and not preferred by people. One Cyber Cafe
is present in the whole village. Almost everyone has internet
access but people are unaware of the benefits of Internet.
SANITATION AND HYGEINE: Overall Village cleanliness is
good and up to the mark. Dustbins were distributed recently
in each house of the village to maintain hygiene standards.
90 to 95 % houses have proper toilets and bathrooms.
Sewage and Drainage problem exists in the village.
SKILL (ESPECIALLY YOUTH): Youth has the potential present
inside them but due to unavailability of resources they are
unable to present it in front of the society. Youth of the
village wishes to get a job in the village itself or in the nearby
areas including Chandigarh. People are involved in dairy
work, farming and shop keeping in major proportions.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Electricity supply is present 24
hours in the village and almost every house has a separate
electricity meter. Main source of water in the village is tube
well. Separate tube wells are constructed for drinking and
irrigation purposes. Shortage of drinking water is one of the
major problems of the village. Maintenance of tube wells is
also untimely and inappropriate in the village.
ARTISANS AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT: No Government
centre for handicraft making is present in the village. Some
women run small handicraft business in the village. People
are totally unaware about the National Handicrafts
Development Programme initiated by the Govt. of India. Due
to the LAALDORA land issue, development and growth of the
village is hampered.
FACILITIES PROVIDED: Separate tube well is present for
irrigation purpose. Sampark Centre is present in the village
for getting knowledge about various government schemes.
Dispensary is present in the village for addressing health
issues of the people. Almost all kinds of shops are present in
the village.
AWARENESS ABOUT GOVERNMENT SCHEMES: Less
awareness is present amongst people about new and existing
government schemes issued in Public Interest by Govt. of
India. Few campaigns are organised to spread awareness
among people. Only a fraction of the village is aware about
Govt. schemes and programmes. After January 2019, no
campaign or event has been organised yet.
REMARKS: Overall condition of the village is ok but village
still needs improvement in various fields. Village requires
regular inspection and help from senior authorities of
Chandigarh. Govt. Officer in-Charge of the village must be a
local authority of Chandigarh which understands problems of
people easily and is able to rectify it within stipulated time.
There is a dire need of increase in the no. of awareness
programmes and campaigns. Some serious issues such as
Lack of drinking water, Sewage and drainage, LaalDora Land
issue etc. need to be resolved as quickly as possible for
improvement of the village.
