AIM

To prove Faraday’s law of Electromagnetic Induction using copper coils connected to DC

current and a strong bar magnet.

APPARATUS REQUIRED

3coils of copper wire- 1 loop, 10 loops, 100 loops.

A strong bar magnet
A DC ammeter

THEORY

emf induced also directly varies on the number of turns in coil.

E=-N dФ/dt
DIAGRAM OF EXPERIMENT

OBSERVATIONS

When a bar magnet is passed through the coil there is a deflection in the ammeter due to
induced current as per Faraday’s Law of Electromagnet Induction.
The more the number of turns in coils, the larger the deflection.
